Wide open WRs and the QBs can't hit them. So many penalties and a blocked punt. Debacle. If they go 10-2 it won't be enough. What a ******* joke of an offense
To make the playoffs it is. This is was an inexcusable loss. Not much sports talk radio for me this week. 🗑Not irrelevant. Just not looking as good as everyone thought. KF is notorious for losing games after a bye week.
You're right now but I'd like to have hope each week but oh well. Time for some hoops. This team was never going anywhere
What made you think they were a playoff team in the first place? To make the playoffs it is. This is was an inexcusable loss. Not much sports talk radio for me this week. 🗑
Good for them there are still tickets available for the Iowa vs Iowa St men's game in Carver Dec 10th. Looking at them nowAgreed
but we all know there’ll be lots of Hawk fan snatching up their Music City bowl game tickets again
Yep Iowa wins on about 10 what ifs but Evans fumble at that time was brutal considering where we had the ball.We lost our #1 RB and #21 whiffs on a pick up block and Hank gets stripped. #21 fumbles after a gain and we were lucky to get it back. Fumbled punt return at the end cost us 50 yards and the win more than likely. I knew our punt returner would cost us sooner or later...
I didn’t feel that way at all going into this game. I thought they had a shot at the playoffs. Really depressing. This team was never going anywhere
Purdue has a good qb. We do not. We have a pair of 8-4 qb’s.Time for KF to hang it up. If you can’t have your team prepared for a game like this, you need to pass the torch to someone who will.
Minnesota gave up 41 points and 464 yards to frickin Purdue.
That's fine Iowa still should have won this and we could pretend another week. Oh well it's Hoops time.Anyone who thought Iowa was a playoff team with this offense was completely delusional from the start. QB play matters. (Except to Kirk)
Yep that's why I posted this threadIve never seen so many mistakes, fumbles, interceptions, blocked punts, and ***** coaching. Wtf did i just watch lol. Enjoy the who f’ing cares bowl.
I can't argue that either if thinking this way from an August perspective.Still doing better than I thought we would.

Good perspective. I am trying not to get pissed as the red sea for the playoffs parted and they play like this after a bye? PatheticIt was. But I'm still really pissed.
Neither have I. This game was cursed, we even fumbled on a late punt return that would've maybe won it. We even had a penalty giving the other team 7. On their last drive, we should've blitzed and forced a quick decision, instead we rush 4 and he finds a zone failure for 40 yards. So even though the D played really well, they had unclutch WTF moments. All three phases were screwing up all day.Ive never seen so many mistakes, fumbles, interceptions, blocked punts, and ***** coaching. Wtf did i just watch lol. Enjoy the who f’ing cares bowl.
I wish we we were at a 24 game playoff now so still hope while also acknowledging you are correct as well pre BCSA little over half way into the season and Iowa's remaining five games are essentially relegated to exhibition games.
In the past a team would still be fighting for a good bowl game but those days are gone.
Misused by both subpar QBs for sureTony Diaz is a fun toy, but unfortunately we are unable to allow him to shine.
I’ll definitely be a fan wherever he plays next year.
I'd say Iowa has 5-7 qbs that the defense will carry to 8-4. Like usual. Phil knows you can't allow 13 points and think that is going to be good enough for a KF offense. Gonna have to clean some things upPurdue has a good qb. We do not. We have a pair of 8-4 qb’s.
Will always lay a turd or two and never have the QB play to bail us out.
To watch us get our asses kicked by Tennessee again. Bau.Agreed

You're forgetting that he cried after the Michigan win. Crying = automatic 5 year extension in Iowa.I’m confident we will most likely have a few down seasons after Ferentz leaves, but I’m also confident I’m ready to see what we can do with new blood. Ferentz should hang it up. I hope it doesnt get ugly.
I went ballistic at the play where McNeil missed the pass at the middle of the field. High schoolers don’t make that mistake.Neither have I. This game was cursed, we even fumbled on a late punt return that would've maybe won it. We even had a penalty giving the other team 7. Why was Brown even trying to throw the ball down the middle with 10 seconds left and no timeouts to end the first half, btw? That should be a deep sideline route to a tall receiver. Instead he dances around and throws a pick to cost us 3?
