Well well well then. Any comment Einstein???

So it turns out that Ukraine's issues with Starlink were caused by Ukraine.

Starlink terminals disconnected at speeds above 160 KPH, as determined by the Starlink terminals internal GPS.

To get around this, Ukraine hacked the Starlink terminals to think they were stationary regardless of speed.

SpaceX figured this out, and updated the system software to detect excessive speed by seeing how rapidly the terminal switched from on satellite to another. This broke Ukraine's hack, and Starlink would no longer work at high speeds.

Ukraine was using Starlink in a way that violated the terms of service.

Starlink figured it out and stopped it.

Even Trump has now said he called Musk to remove the Starlink restrictions. Are you disputing that someone - either Musk on his own or at the direction of Trump - did NOT throttle back Starlink usage?

well the good news is that starlink is back up at full speed so Ukraine can bomb the sh.t out of Russia and protect itself from all Russian attack drones and missiles

Ukraine hacked civilian Starlink for its military drones.
It got caught and blocked.
Then doubled down and went full narrative war against Trump & Elon.

So **** Ukraine. Cut it off 100% immediately from ALL support of any kind. It will cave to Russia, the war will end, and poor civilians will stop dying in trenches while the rich whine and dine.

No. He asked Musk to check and they then found out Ukraine was hacking the system and fixed it to go back to the original specs.

we'll see what's accurate...not sure who to believe right now...This might be true or internet rumor.

Does seem certain that the speeds are back where they were supposed to be..

"Elon Musk claims that Ukraine allegedly violated Starlink's terms of use and used the system on combat drones.

As someone who was inside the process at the Ministry of Defense, I can say with certainty that this is not true.

In February of this year, whitelists were introduced. Stationary terminals could be registered by both military personnel and civilians.
But for any satellite terminal to work while on the move, it had to be added to a special list and connected to the military Starshield system. Otherwise, no satellite communication terminals in Ukraine would work.

In other words, using civilian Starlink for drone missions was technically impossible. All drone missions that required satellite communication could only be carried out using Starshield.

We are very grateful to the United States and SpaceX for access to critically important satellite communications. Ukraine did not violate the terms of use."

End of story -- it is vitally and strategically imperative for Europe and the entire free world to take the most decisive steps to accelerate the development of their own alternative to Starlink.

Otherwise, this profoundly hypocritical, infantile, walking embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger effect, drunk on his own sense of limitless power, impunity, and imagined moral superiority, will bring the entire free world to ruin -- all for the sake of the ketamine-fueled cockroaches in his head.

great idea but might take a while...starlink has about 12000 satellites in orbit and I'm not sure if there is any free world country with the launch capability to do what SpaceX has done. There might be one, but I don't know who that might be.

Elon Musk calls out Ukraine after they used civilian Starlink for offensive drone strikes to kiII people

They broke Starlink terms of service.

Then had the nerve to virtue signal.

“Starlink’s terms have remained consistent as a civilian system, not a means of killing. Violation of those terms will result in end of service.

Starshield use is a decision of the US government.

End of story.”

Elon said.

“I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue signaling evil warmongers. May you burn in hell.”

Starlink = civilian system. Not a weapons platform. Violations end service.

Starshield = U.S. government call.

“Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact.”

He agreed: find other partners if you want. No veto. Terms stay the same.

SpaceX has done more for Ukraine’s defense than any private company on Earth. BY FAR.

End of story.

Good god, they don't give a **** about how they're using Starlink.

This is all about retribution towards Ukraine because they did something that was seen as bad for MAGA politics. (interfering with Russian oil and or datacenters)

You lib losers are making shit_up to justify any and everything that goes against Trump. It's sad.

Elon Musk confirmed on Saturday that Ukraine was wrongly using civilian Starlink for missile strikes and that the loophole was shut down last week. In his X post he also clarified the difference between commercial Starlink and military Starshield, and he rightly said anyone promoting endless slaughter must burn in hell.

The media, many Democrats, and Zelensky continue to conflate Starlink and Starshield. Musk has repeatedly made it clear, including again on Saturday, that they’re not the same. That won’t stop his haters from lying about the two systems in order to criticize him. So keep going on X and calling out the liars. Set the record straight like Musk did.

Musk’s haters will applaud or ignore that Ukraine was wrongly using Starlink for military attacks, now that Musk has confirmed that misuse. We already knew Starshield was wrongly being used the same way, which is why the U.S. Government limited Starshield in Ukraine. Yet haters of Trump criticized this limiting or conflated it with Starlink to try to cause confusion while wrongly blaming Elon for the limiting. The constant in all of this is the warmongering by those who hate Musk and Trump.

The bottom line is Zelensky abused defensive systems by wrongly using them to kill people. Then Zelensky and his supporters keep promoting war while going after those who are trying to save lives and establish peace. America should have nothing to do with enabling Zelensky’s war to continue. That’s why I continue to say all funding for Ukraine from the U.S. must stop immediately, and all systems we’re letting Ukraine use must be shut down so he’ll be forced to agree to peace. Otherwise Zelensky will never stop warring. Musk and Trump are on the right side of history. Those lying about them in order to promote war are the problem.

Nope your argument sucks.

It is NO coincidence that both Musk and Trump were bitching about Ukraine right before this happened. It was on that basis. Retribution plain and simple.

Musk is the ultimate doesn't give a **** about terms of service person anyway.

It got flipped back on because Trump and Musk knew it looked terrible and they got called on it right away.
