Iowa is coming off a piss pounding of Washington and the Minnesota is on the heels of an embarrassing loss at Purdue.

Kirk Ferentz has owed in the gophers and I expect more of the same today.

Looking at these rivalry games, it's crazy how close we have been able to get some of them with how terrible we have been a majority of the years before Fry.

Yep, and Iowa has actually overtaken MN in Floyd of Rosedale series 46-43-2.

Iowa spotted MN The first 12 games in the overall series. After that but before the FOR series, between 1918 to 1934, each team won 8 games apiece so that portion is tied.

So since Floyd Iowa has chipped away 3 games from MN's initial 12 game lead and why they now lead by just 9 at 63-54-2.

Of course MN had a big lead in the FOR series early on. So yes Hayden and Kirk have completely righted that ship AND taken a bite out of the overall series win deficit.

One step closer today? Hell yeah! GO HAWKS!

The only thing that worries me about this game is Ferentz‘s teams seem to come out flat after a bye week. The Goofs have been stewing for 2 weeks about being embarrassed by Purdue. I think the Hawks pull away sink Peej’s stupid little boat, but not until after making us squirm for 3 quarters.

I think this is the year the Fleck finally stops trying to beat Kirk at Kirk ball. Minny's season has entirely depended on whether or not they have a hot start to a game. Look for them to try and start fast and score quickly. They'll lean to Lindsey's throwing ability and be light on the run. Hawks need to play bully ball and force them to try and stop our run game.
