Cox is now fired this afternoon. Wonder who is next.

"Fever hired Cox in 2024 to serve in a dual role as chief operating officer and general manager, replacing former GM Lin Dunn, who moved into a senior advisory role with the organization." Roughly translated: The Old Folks Home.

Maybe those players who have to shut off their social media before/after Fever games can spend the extra time off screen counting all the cash they're now making thanks to CC.

Alyssa Thomas went from making $215k to $1.2 million/year. She thanks CC by punching her in the throat. Lol. Idiots.
So dumb. Anyone on the planet could play victim if they really wanted to read twitter comments. NBA players laugh at these women wanting to be treated equally but then complain about.. checks notes... TWITTER COMMENTS. gmafb

Regarding N bombs at games, I don't believe it. This day in age, I don't care but nobody tolerates that **** in public at a place filled with kids. Somebody would have been caught by now if this was an actual thing. I know theyre not used to fans at games but fans cheering against you does not mean they're racist.

It will take a special type of player to join this team without fear of not keeping it real. Hopefully the next FO realizes this and gets more players who can actually think for themselves.

If that were happening you'd think there'd be Tweets or whatever being put out there showing/condemning it. I've yet to see any.

Atlanta made great roster moves and the Valkyrie’s over achieved. I still think that the W wanted a Vegas/ Atlanta matchup in the finals.
I don’t think the Valkeries over achieved. They’re a really good team. They just really want to slow other teams down to their pace. Most teams only have 3, maybe 4 scoring options which GSV can manage. Atlanta’s starting 5 are all threats and they all want to push tempo.

So just bc CC is a dynamic player that helped get a better CBA means they should just sit there and take the abuse from her hostile fans?

No, but why should players be okay with it just bc they’re getting more money?
I'm not saying they should be ok with it. I'm saying these not-so-veiled posts linking the treatment they receive from fans to CC as if it's her fault are unfair and just kind of gross. And that's exactly what they're doing.

So we agree, CC is not responsible for the treatment they receive from fans and she is responsible for them making gobs and gobs more money as WNBA players.

Cool.

The tweet said nothing about Clark

She isn’t gonna win one.
That has nothing to do with what I said. You posted that her issue is basically her attitude. Pure nonsense. What kind of "attitude" do you think MJ, Bird, Magic, (pick your superstar player.), had. They ALL had the same kind of "attitude" in spades. The difference was the roster of players built around them to make their teams clearly the best. THAT is what's holding Clark back from a ring. Their roster is so poorly constructed, they have no margin of error to beat the best teams.

Yep, there’d be someone pulling out their phone to record it. It hasn’t happened. All of the video evidence has exonerated the Indiana fans that players have accused. Pointing at a player, or yelling at them, in itself is not racist. And isn’t against the rules.

Yep it sucks that people see stuff online. But more often than not it has been gamblers complaining about a player’s poor performance when they made a bet on them. The kind of stuff that pro athletes in every major league see regularly. But any smart one is just blocking the messages.

A lot of the people in this thread complaining about players on other teams trying to play the "victim" card will also be the same people complaining in June if the Fever strike out in free agency and CC is stuck playing with Lexi, Mo, Sophie, and Dantas next year.

1.) Why should players be forced off social media if they don't want racial slurs and death threats sent to them

2) Why do you want the fans sending them to stay?
1.) You can't control what fans/trolls say on social media. If it's serious, such as threats, etc. then there are criminal complaints, arrest, and prosecution available to them. If the comments are not in a threatening manner, then they have to get thicker skins or ban the poster(s).

2.) Because I happen to like fans. I'm one, but I'm not abusive. But, I certainly do not condone threatening commentary. :)

That's an unfair judgement. You can't confirm that. Be real. We're into re-building the "sham" of a Front office right now. Let's take a breath, shall we, and see what transpires?

2 down, 1 to go. White is not the coach this team needs. Fever need a smart, defensive minded coach who will teach the team actually how to defend.

Next, the Fever need to look into getting Cameron Brink. She's a free agent after 2027, but it would be nice to somehow get her for next season. Make her the 5 and Boston the 4. That would help the Fever so much with their poor rebounding and post play.

Then get some real depth on the bench. Trade Mitchell if you're able. Then the Fever would be really cooking.

CC > your favorite player

Iowa > your favorite team

Deal with it.
I could probably pick five players from the WNBA that’s better than cc

i disagree. Her me first look at me attitude won’t allow the chemistry to win a championship no matter who her teammates might be.
