I looked at the West Iredell-Newton game…boys!…that game was closer than it looked. Whew! The Warriors are gonna have their hands full with Bandys. I see it going to the wire…can you imagine?… talk about upsetting the brackets. Imma stick with Spence and the Warriors but it’s gonna be a nail biter.

Bunker Hill has kicked my tail all year. I’ve missed more of their games than anyone. I’m about to do it again! 😂 I’m taking North Lincoln! I just gotta feeling! This will be another great game! Wait and see!

I’m taking Newton Conover but I’m pulling for Foard with all I got!🫵

East Lincoln wins a nail biter in OT!😂

Bandys at West Iredell: West Iredell by 20.

Maiden at East Lincoln: In spite of a commendable effort the Mustangs get the win by 14.

Foard at Newton-Conover: Red Devils by 7.

Bunker Hill at North Lincoln: Flyrod’s game of the week, another good choice. Since the Wolves have a bye, would kinda like to see this one. Only problem is they’d want to spray me with Lysol-Makes me sneeze… Knights by 10.

Random thought, I got myself sitting here wondering bout the RB ranking for this conf. Not seen a stat column in a while which is fine, Obvious number 1 is Spence of West Iredell but just out of curiousty based off performace and not wining or losing record of the team held who would be number 2 and number 3 in ya'lls view?

I think Amario Spence being so big and electric it's easy to forget about the other running backs in the Western Foothills 4A/5A Conference, I think Jaheem Jenkins just broke 1,000 yards against East Lincoln he is at 1,195 rushing yards and 27 Touchdowns, it also put Jenkins over 1,000 rushing yards for the second straight year and gave him his 25th touchdown run of the season and the 65th of his career.
Jeremiah Pope of Newton-Conover just broke the 1,000-yard mark as well according to the Hickory Daily Record. It's Pope's second-straight season topping 1,000 yards after going for 1,168 yards and 14 touchdowns as a sophomore.
I think Pope was hurt a few games this season I'm not for sure, but he did not play much against Hickory, and Jenkins played only one half of football basically in about four game this season. I'm sure Amario Spence is over 1,000 yards as well maybe not as many touchdowns as Jenkins, but I'm sure they are all at the top pertaining to running backs. But it's probably Spence and I can't forget about the Gaither kid over at Bunker Hill he can run, I'm not sure about his stats though, I believe he was hurt a bit this season as well.

I believe ya guys on Jenkins the Newton RB and BH RB. The type of backs that impress me alot are the ones that still get yards and still get stuff done with a bottom or toward the bottom offense/ Oline. Agee I think certainly deserves some credit.

He done a lot last year in a losing effort in the Maiden game. I hadn’t seen him this year at all, may do that tomm night, should be an interesting game especially being at home and North on a motivated persona. BH beat Maiden, Maiden took North so on paper North stands no chance

but—— lemmie tell ya good example why games ain’t played on paper. East Burke upsets RS Central, RS Central beats up on Chase. Chase topples EB last week on homecoming. Soooo Maiden creek seems to think North can do something….lets see :) :)

You can bout find any game on youtube any more LOL. So i watched the playback of NL/ EL. Interesting game dispite the lopsided score. NL played with more intensity than the West Lincoln game first of season. Score should not have been as bad as it was, North left some points on the field that night and made some mistakes. But in no way am I saying they coulda won that game, goodness no LOL. East played their game and Dollar was on point. When North was concentrating and just moving the ball on ground with no mistakes they moved the chains. Agee appeared shifty and hard to tackle when he had just alittle blocking going ahead of him. All that being said I shoulda picked them tonight for this game. Lincolnton if you get there holler at me.

Should be exciting as lower teams battle to avoid finishing next to last/ last in these standings.

Back in the summer, I read a small article online about an invasive spider that came from the far east, either Japan or the Koreas. It showed up in Atlanta and had moved into the upstate of South Carolina and the mountains of North Carolina. It’s called a JORO spider.

Personally, I don’t care for spiders and I thought, “I hope they don’t show up here, we have enough the way it is.” Well, this week I saw the spider in the picture below. Sent the photo to an entomologist at UNCC. She wrote back and said sure enough it’s a JORO spider.

You know, it probably hasn’t shown up in any other town in the Piedmont except Lincolnton and I just wonder how the hell it got here. Just guessing some of the guys from here were up in the mountains on the weekend, one of them sees it, tells the other ones about it, and somebody came up with the bright idea of. “Let’s take it to Lincolnton, It’ll be one of us. “

Pardon my bias, but to me, we have the most tolerant, forgiving and generous people on earth; but sometimes that seems to go too far. What I just said sounds off the wall, but it probably happened like that. On the way back here, one of them probably said “put it up on the dash and let it walk around and then we’ll take it to a bar.

For instance, three fellers I know well and are some of the best people, were boating down at Lake Norman. They get out in the middle of a channel and a deer was swimming across the lake ( wonder who taught him how to swim). These guys see it, pull their boat up to it and decide to give it a ride to the other side. They grab this large deer’s rack, and get its front legs in the boat. The deer goes crazy and nearly turns the boat over- they have to use a paddle to knock it back out of the boat. They honestly meant well.

Anyway, this - - - - - - - spider has attached itself to the side of my house. The professor at UNCC said the spiders venom is harmless to people, but it sure looks scary. Please see picture below.

sorry for the digression, just wanted to say something about it. And since Cheerduck and the Maiden posters were on here I knew I might have a sympathetic ear to vent to. :)

Lincolnton. I'm a couple miles from North Lincoln High School and saw a Joro last week at a neibors house here in Pumpkin Center. I am an arachnophobe and had heard of these spiders invading years ago so I knew what it was instantly. I had also heard that they can sail in the wind and land on you from above...FYI. It was the biggest spider I've seen in the wild. A bit bigger than a writing spider.

Hey Lincolnton, I’m here at NL. Just walked in in time to not have to pay after I done left and hit the ATM cause I thought I had money but I didn’t. I’m on home side at the 20 toward the score board

West Iredell better get their QB back or they may only win the bye week. They look absolutely terrible tonight...at least on my stream. Penalties, turnovers, no defense, questionable play calling. Sense has barely touched the ball. Oh 27-24 West in late 3rd. Bandys driving.
