[DJ Spanky]

The Atlanta Falcons have a new profile picture and the comment section is führious

YIKES!!!!

The funny - crazy - thing is, somebody probably got paid millions of dollars to come up with this. Dear Lord! Probably designed and approved by some young millennial or Gen Z antisemitic asshats with no clue about the past.

“It looks like it was designed by some Vienna art school reject!”

DEAD!!!!

Can’t figure out if you’re all dumb or you’re just playing into the horseshit. They’re literally promoting their throwbacks. The red, gold, and black stripe was on their helmets to honor both UGA and GT. It’s legit their throwback logo

Thank you for sharing that scintillating insight.

Presented in front of their helmet stripes? I’m just not understanding the uproar, I’m sorry

oh, there’s absolutely no question about the Redskins being brought back, none, and all polling of Native Americans ever done proves as much.

“One particularly interesting detail was the addition of two thin gold stripes on the helmets. As the story goes, the Falcons’ original uniforms looked a little too similar to those worn by the University of Georgia, which didn’t exactly sit well with their rivals at Georgia Tech. To keep everyone happy, the Falcons incorporated gold into the helmet striping as a nod to Georgia Tech, while maintaining the red and black associated with Georgia. The gold stripes remained through the 1969 season before being removed in 1970.”
