Okie State will come down to earth once Robidou, Jax & Vega graduate.
Yeah I agree, annoying that people say we need to immediately run out and wrestle teams like OkState and VTech that just got good five minutes ago.I think age is playing a role in perception. You're mentioning the history of Okay State, which is long and storied. However, the past 50 years have 7 titles for Oklahoma State. The overwhelming majority of their legend building and history comes pre Vietnam. Sure they have a ton of team titles, but trail far behind the "modern stewards" of wrestling. Which, not for nothing but this whole "stewards" concept is pie in the sky stuff fans create in their heads in my opinion. Now, opinions are like ******** so I'm not saying you can't have one. I wish a colostomy bag on no one.
Would I love to see Okay State wrestle PSU? Yea absolutely. Do I actually think it would grow the sport and be good stewardship? I don't. I don't think PSU owes it to wrestling to continually change scheduling to accommodate whoever the hot new contending team is. Okay State gets their shot like everyone else in March. Maybe I'm just to young and dumber than hell, or maybe you're too old and clinging to the past. Likely both.
I remember when people said PSU will come down to earth once DT and Ruth graduates.. lolOkie State will come down to earth once Robidou, Jax & Vega graduate.
The humor is strong in this one....lolI remember when people said PSU will come down to earth once DT and Ruth graduates.. lol
That’s why he said it.. lolI remember when people said PSU will come down to earth once DT and Ruth graduates.. lol
Well, to be fair, they said the same thing about Rutgers with Ashnault and Suriano. That’s why he said it.. lol
Now he's basically saying Taylor is running his mouth to get some attention because he knows Sanderson isn't going to agree to any match this year nor will Penn State ever participate in National duals, which is just basically an Oklahoma State tournament.Wow.. I’m just a neutral fan of this but the way people are able to frame things to their beliefs is incredible… lol..
So according to you, Taylor was bluffing about ever wanting a match bc he’s expecting Cael to say no, but if Cael knows Taylor is bluffing Cael could rebluff— saying he accepts the match knowing Taylor would then run away and stop continuing to talk tough and ensuring his Cowboys doesnt get exposed by PSU this year. Some 4D Chess right there. Rebluff the Bluff ;p
Did they? Did Rutgers ever leave earth?Well, to be fair, they said the same thing about Rutgers with Ashnault and Suriano.![]()
I know one of the brothers of a former PSU wrestler had an interaction with DT that didn't sit very well with him. Like Mike Evans would say, he wasn't impressed.Elite competitive nature aside, I don't think DT has nearly the humility or strength of character that Cael exudes in spades. Frankly going all the way back to when he told PD3 he was "gifted" a chance and not to squander it, as if being the #2 guy behind the great DT, PD didn't really earn it. I am not a PD3 fan in any respect, but DT showed his ego, if not some insecurity all in one statement. It was classless, and not what I expect from a world champion. If you listen to enough of him, he is frankly kind of a tool at times. Cael didn't teach him any of that, it's all pure DT DNA.
Now, now boys. Let's keep it civil.Obviously, the head shaking didn't cause a clank shaking anything loose and awake. You are still full of **** and dumber than hell if you don't understand Okie State's history, combined with the last 2 years performances and the future sightline makes OSU a steward. But you keep being you. Generally speaking stupid is never good at self recognition. I don't want you straining.
Wrestlestat has them at #28 to start off the year. Cartagena-Walsh scoring 6.45 points with an 8th place finish at 184, and Cotton with a R12 performance and 2 points at 197. I know, Knox will score some points, too. Still…Well, to be fair, they said the same thing about Rutgers with Ashnault and Suriano.![]()
Rutgers letting Donny go was absolutely insane. Same with Wisconsin, obviously.Wrestlestat has them at #28 to start off the year. BOOM.

Granted that Ok State hasn't turned in stellar team performances over the last two decades, but I do agree you have to take into account their total history over the last 50-60 years. For many years, they were considered the premier program in the country.
Plus, even over the leaner years of the more current era, they have still produced some top level individual wrestlers. Whether they catch Penn State while Cael is still HC remains to be seen, but they aren't going away either.
I know one of the brothers of a former PSU wrestler had an interaction with DT that didn't sit very well with him. Like Mike Evans would say, he wasn't impressed.

I'm surprised, angered, disappointed and perplexed by your take here.I don't think he should. My point was he knew that when he said it
awwwl, man, this retort would have been soshaking my head to clear it of your silly pontification. here are the stewards finishes last 20 years:
quite the stewards. people do not always have to agree with you silliness. I guess the 24 natty won by Iowa does or does not make them a steward any more? How bout those stewards of the NFL? you know Green Bay and Chicago since they have won the most championships. how bout them yankees? 27 champs, most ever. none in last 15 years and only one appearance which they lost. great stewards. smh. just another TikTok/ snapchat, what happening now, band wagon jumper. Also, you really only have to post an item once. no need to have multiple posts of the same thing. unless that whiskey comment carries some truth in which case I understand the multiple problems.

Now that is the proper use of "smart asss" humor.Well, to be fair, they said the same thing about Rutgers with Ashnault and Suriano.![]()
Now you know what us PSU fans feel like!I'm surprised, angered, disappointed and perplexed by your take here.
Van Brill did a couple times vs Jason.Did they? Did Rutgers ever leave earth?
Never sure if I’ll get this cueing right …Van Brill did a couple times vs Jason.

Yeah... Nolf may have ripped his spine out. Great memory... What a team that was! That was so slick! It also looked so painful. Good thing Bo isn't vicious, because if he had forced that position he could have really injured Gravina's back.
Will Knox's points be on the mat or in the stands?Wrestlestat has them at #28 to start off the year. Cartagena-Walsh scoring 6.45 points with an 8th place finish at 184, and Cotton with a R12 performance and 2 points at 197. I know, Knox will score some points, too. Still…

Cross training… planning ahead for MMA career! Will Knox's points be on the mat or in the stands?
to bad DT has no say in PSU duals!Seems more like Cael doesnt wanna wrestle Okie state or doesnt care enough, if anything. Taylor already put forth his invitation to wrestle why should he keep going out of his way especially when their schedule is probably already tight. Plus we don’t even know how many PSU wrestlers are even wrestling in all star event yetL
Haha .. why would Cael ever accept a dual w DT or attend the national duals in future years. PSU got a nice easy schedule(besides mandatory b10 part). And wrestlers have fewer matches and well rested before nationals why mess the formula. Hoping this years nationals will be somewhat closer and PSU gets pushed at least a little.to bad DT has no say in PSU duals!
U kept going on about how they can be 4x nj state champ but only win one or two national titles for some reason.Well, to be fair, they said the same thing about Rutgers with Ashnault and Suriano.![]()
Idk, maybe because it was true. AA had to take a medshirt year to avoid Zane's last season to get a shot at a title in his 6th season. But you missed the irony of my statement above because Rutgers *did* come back to earth after the two unicorns.U kept going on about how they can be 4x nj state champ but only win one or two national titles for some reason.
No one missed it u clever. Back then, u kept hating on how Ash/Suriano didn’t win more titles just bc they were 4x nj state champ. Clearly, not every 4x state champ has even won one national, some don’t even AA once.Idk, maybe because it was true. I do not believe the formula entails having an easy schedule. It’s just a little easier this year because Penn state is becoming more dominant, Iowa is weakening, and Nebraska rolled off Big Ten schedule.Haha .. why would Cael ever accept a dual w DT or attend the national duals in future years. LOL pretty funny your making excuse's for a team that wins nationals every yr!no matter the schedule they would still win so you think they haven't wrestled any good teams during their win streakHaha .. why would Cael ever accept a dual w DT or attend the national duals in future years. They usually have a top ten non conference in journeyman duals but not this year as NDI week before is taking them all.
Penn state can shut out 95% of teams in country. Not sure what schedule people were looking for
If okie st wants to wrestle a tuff schedule they should try to get into the big tenHaha .. why would Cael ever accept a dual w DT or attend the national duals in future years. Not sure if that would even be possible but I don’t think Okie st necessarily wants a tuffer schedule. Think rather they wanna beat PSU aka beat the best team ever in the history of wrestling. If okie st wants to wrestle a tuff schedule they should try to get into the big ten
I guess we are interrupting the OkSt and DT thread, but yea. No matchups, and no ticket announcement yet, weird.a month away .... do these guys want to sell tickets or not ... when will matchups be announced?
I received email from NLC on Thursday that pre-sale started yesterdayI guess we are interrupting the OkSt and DT thread, but yea. No matchups, and no ticket announcement yet, weird.
