Is it conceivable that Kamario plays in 2028?...

Of course, there are going to be people that question whether or not to invest heavily in a Lebby-led team. But I think he's proven that he's not Moorhead. He may not be Mullen (completely different environment now and Mullen's success could not be duplicated in the NIL era, but all the same he was very successful in his time here), but Lebby's improved every season and I expect him to do it again this year and next. We are a few studs on D and the OL from being a very, very good team.

This will be our chance to go all in. There might not be another for a decade or more. Every $ we have should be geared toward making football a success in 2027. If it is at all successful we will be able to leverage that into a success in a lot of areas. Basketball, Baseball, etc. can all take a back seat for one year. If we don't show that kind of commitment, it's a sign that we will never be relevant in football again and we belong in the Sun Belt. It's time to go all in.

Well, in your 'meh' scenario, it depends on the draft grade. Because if it's 3rd or 4th round or later, he'd make more money here.

That's exactly what happened with Chambliss at Ole Miss.

These NIL contracts are changing the game regarding players leaving early.
Big difference between the two. Chambliss is less than 6 feet although an exceptional college qb. The other is prototypical nfl qb with a rare arm even for NFL standards. There have been multiple 2028 draft projections listing not only as the top qb, but potentially the number overall number 1 pick. Our typical bipolar fans viewing life through the end of a gun barrel.

Kamario seems to be injury prone, so we also need to invest in a quality backup quarterback to take over when he invariably goes down injured again.
Not sure what he needs to do to avoid injuries? Put on more weight? Who knows. Fluff has been a little injury prone as well. It could all be the OL. We all want a full season of them being 80-90% healthy. We can't win many games like this.

He & Lebby are doing a great job of protecting him from injury this year. Turf tie is just kind of a fluke thing that there not a whole lot you can do to prevent.

Hard to say with such a small sample size. And turf toe is kind of a fluke injury. I think we've done a good job of protecting him this year. Sometimes things just happen. But the backup QB we bring in next year definitely HAS to fit Lebby's system (or one Lebby is willing to make minor adjustments for).
I can tell u from experience that even small injuries can lead up to more and even severe injuries. I am hoping KT will stay healthy and continue at the school he grew up loving. I will say from his Fr yr to this year in the few games he played he was better at protecting himself.

If the NFL is interested, which they are in this case, they will shut him down. 2028 is not going to happen. They don't give two s**ts about any college games, teams, or championships. NFL people connected to the program tell our people and that's pretty much that. If they want to see more, which they won't in Kamario's case, they will say that too. As fans, we know less than 1% of what goes on. Think of it this way; NFL talent evaluation is the exact opposite of NCAA talent evaluation. Weaknesses instead of strengths, secrecy instead of hype.

I always look at Tom Brady’s career. In his time in the NFL he dealt with one fluke injury and came back even stronger. He attributes that to yoga and Pilates. Flexibilty and joint strength is so important
