someone hurt for the gophers or just more $$$ going to the Hawks?
That is a good question as the line has doubled since it opened at -3.5
Not due to injury.

Vegas does not put a lot of value on injuries.

Certainly not 4.5 points worth. And wouldn't move this early in the week because of injury.

This gets covered in this thread pretty much every week.

Still a chance the movement is just steam. We'll have wait and see

Let's hope the result is the same as the 2008 teams when we beat Minny 55-0 in the last Gopher game played in the dome.
A row of older Gopher fans just below our group got so pissed that we were cheering that they called security…… fat guy showed up and warned us to keep it civil lol but that *** kicking was criminal. They left mid 3rdQ and the oldest lady - must have been 70 - gave us double birds!! What a weekend that was.

As painful as it is to say it, give me Minnesota to win outright.
Kirk is 14-17 after a bye week. Something about this game smells like the kind of game where we usually drop a giant deuce.
We couldn’t win out west either. Time to break another narrative. Usually have to do that to have a special season!

It's in their rodent nature.
Hawks? Hawks snack on rodents.

Hope you are right. They beat Washington on the road and beat Michigan. I doubt they play like they did at Purdue. Experience team, I expect a tough game. They'll focus on shutting down our run game. Will Heck be able to win through the air?
Their DEs get up the field on the outside and force things to the middle. Their DTs are not great and the back ups are worse. Where they are good when being able to shut down the run is the LBs and Safety clogging the gaps. in the middle. It is a different defensive look than we have seen. They KNOW the tackles can't hold up so they force a bunch of pressure in the middle. Recognizing when the Safety and LBs are coming are going to be critical for Heck. No doubt we can run on them but have to understand WHEN to do it is important.

Exactly, this is potentially a very tough game. If they play well and we don’t come ready to play we won’t win this game.

Their QB has been fairly efficient. They severely won TOP in wins against Michigan and Washington. They won TO battle in both of those games too. Michigan had 6 penalties for 43 yards as well.

Against Purdue, Minnesota severely lost TOP battle, they were -2 in TO margin, and Purdue ran for 305 yards. I think we have the TE and WR group to make them pay if they want to stack the box. How will Heck do against a team that forces him to stay in pocket and make throws? We'll see. He's short. His arm strength is questionable too.

I'd like to see us come out and throw the ball. If it doesn't look good, make the move to Hank Brown to start second half. Looks like decent winds around kickoff though at 11 MPH and slight chance of rain by 4th quarter.

Defense has to find a way to get off the field and create turnovers. I think Minnesota is going to move the ball some, and I'm especially worried about their WR screen game because we didn't look good at all against Washington for that.

I want to see throw to open up the run approach in this game though. Anytime you do that, the turnover variable gets notched up a bit...
