Let the players have a say on what they are wearing. All I ask is just win.

Who even knows if the "THINK OF THE KIDS" even have say, and it's not some Gen Z marketing dork choosing this nonsense every week. You know what other team spends a lot of time talking about what they're going to wear? UL
In the FWIW category ... predominance of non-traditional colors undermines the BLUE-WHITE call-and-response cheer.

I think they got these from the maker of auto mechanics' uniforms who had plenty of cloth leftover.
New to UK football? Gotta love the new bandwagon fans. UK football has done this for several years now
I do like the fresh approach. However, we have no barometer to know what "the kids like" and what they don't. I've seen no survey results to give us the data, so until I have some kind of concrete evidence as to what "the kids like" I'll simply judge the uni's on my own taste.
As far as the Power K, it's not dated to the players because none of them were alive for it's hay-day. So to make some assumption that the Power K is just an old-head thing is really really dumb. To the players it's literally brand new, but again, we don't know what they truly think because we don't have any kind of way to measure that.
I say keep things fresh, and also remember that the Power K, at least to the kids, is "fresh". But most importantly, we need feedback from the players and recruits on the uni's. IF anyone has that kind of data, feel free to share.

My son is 11 and he and his boys love the Power K.
That couldn't be further from the truth. The fans buy the merch. Nike wasn't built on what the athletes wanted.
I only laugh because you've told your story, brother. And I admire you for it and your ability to speak on it and (I think) find the humor. Takes a special kind of a person.
I'm a bit of a traditionalist with uniforms and gear, that said, I like the changing uniforms and use of grey, silver, and black. UK doesn't have a rich history of a football uniform like a Michigan or Bama. Keep it fresh. These aren't my favorite, but at least they match. Last weeks drove me crazy just because they looked mismatched as could be. The trim and letter/number choices made no sense. I actually love the black pants with a white jersey, but sheesh...at least make them look like they were made to wear together. Like this...
Thanks brother, I try. I didn’t think you were saying nothing bad. I just hope more people don’t try to demonize methadone/sub clinics. You would be shocked the amount of people who legitimately think they give Methamphetamine to people at clinics lol. I’ve actually had people say you need to stop doing that Meth. Clinics do honestly help a ton of people. Anything is better to than using the poison on the street and starting recovery. I know it is a common diss to make fun of it and people there, but in reality I think if more people were educated on them, they would see how many it does in fact help. No need to make fun of people trying to get clean, at least most there are trying. Sure some use them to not be sick and continue to use, but eventually the meds and classes/therapy causes many to break thru and stop.

I am pretty certain the players pick the uniforms. The blue and white is beautiful and I love it but as long as we win idc what color they are wearing unless it was red. Then we deserve to lose.
I like it, but the Blue-White chant is done far too often in games. It should mainly be done in stoppages or "dead" time during games. Doing it while the opponent is driving prevents more constant, disruptive crowd noise. I get that we never do it on 3rd/4th downs, but why do it at all when we're on defense?
Maybe Peyton Manning, CINTAS Rep, made a presentation to the team ???

Stop making my argument for me. It's easy to "add" Power K into the merch catalog as a new add. It's a hell of a bit harder to just abandon the current UK uniforms and all of the $ spent to change over to the new look, and that's before you even think about existing inventory, production, etc. The Power K crew wants to drop the current stuff and I am sorry that is just not going to happen...

Totally agree. Michigan and Bama don't need new uniforms or different combos to sell merch. They have the largest fanbases in the game. It sells itself. Nike understands you freshen it up and people buy it. My point about what you said, it has zero to do with the players in regards to the different combos. They might "pick" them, but make no mistake Nike is doing it to sell more merch.
Have you ever noticed the "BLUE/WHITE" jinx. It seems to me that every time that chant starts the opponent makes a big (or at least positive) play. Yes I pay attention to those things. "BLUE!!! WHITE!!!" 15 yard gain.
Yep. Tell Nike "we love working with you" but here's what we want. . ." Those uniforms popped and it had little to do with the "olds" and nostalgia.

No it wouldn’t. KSR even mentioned this weeks ago. Older fans love the power k but younger fans just don’t care about it.
I said the same thing last week. Instead of spending money on gray unis, I’d rather they spent it on making a specific white jersey like this to go with the black pants instead of just wearing our traditional road white jersey.

The Power K is objectively a better trademark item. Clean, simple, clear, understood.
But i am all for multiple uniforms, doing fun stuff, different stuff...just have fun, man.
