Why was Vigna pulled so quickly Saturday from LT ?

[Anon17890609591074267]

As a redshirt freshman he had to have shown something special to warrant starting on RU's offensive line ?

[LotusAggressor_rivals]

He was clearly overmatched. He got beat for a sack and was getting knocked backwards the whole time he was in the game. He must have looked good in practice against RU's inadequate edge rushers.

Because he was playing charades as a revolving door.

[patk89]

That 5* freshman Maryland defensive end ran him over for a sack early in the game. Didn't see that guy do much thereafter.

[S.W.A.I.N]

Did you watch? He was being manhandled, it was embarrassing.

So too violent

[Jtung230]

The TV announcer actually called him out. That’s how bad he was. Maybe just too much too early.

May have had something to do with taking Vigna out.

GO RU

Of course, that goes without saying. The OP asked why he was removed.

[rosenst2]

He's too light in the a$$ and plays too high.

Clear as day if you watched the game. Guy wasn't moving his feet well and got steamrolled several times.

Because Jim "Violence" Turner still has no idea who his best 5 are. As soon as Chin entered the line played better. This guy is as bad as Smith was on D.

How much is everyone missing Flats right now?

All that oorah stuff is overrated. Just give me best O-line coach technician and teacher (speaking from experience).

Schiano is a clown.

According to Mr. Fieldhouse, Vigna was the key to running the table the rest of the season. So much for that.

That was the one offseason move that left me scratching my head. We've seen continual improvement from the OL over the last few years, and we get rid of the OL coach? I wonder how much of that was pushed by KC.

I don't understand that move at all. The OL is considerably worse than last year.

Stooge Al is as clueless as it gets.

Apparently, he didn't want to go out and recruit anymore. How many position coaches do that?

Get him the players and he will make them top level B1G OL talent. That’s all we need.

Three of the starters (Needham, Chin, Asamoah) were recruited by Andy Aurich & Salami is a walk on who I believe preceded him. Giwa is the only one of the starting five that he had a hand in landing, in addition to Vigna and Small who have played some this year. Many of the HS recruits from '23-'25 are not on the roster anymore. Let's not act like this is all Jim Turner's doing.

Not seeming to be a big upgrade in OL recruiting this year - some head scratchers in there.
