$79 for lower-bowl tickets vs. Iowa, $49 for upper-bowl...both significantly less than my upper-bowl season tickets.

Regardless of price, I have to be honest and say I'm straight-up disappointed as a Northwestern fan that we don't have enough support to have this one already sold out given how both programs are doing and our historically strong performance against them.

EDIT: In a spot of good news, it looks like the lower bowl is almost completely sold out, and the upper bowl are all east stands/upper rows, where (theoretically) visiting fans would sit.

Hi folks. Been awhile! It's... sorta good...to see NU pivoting here - after seeing all the coverage of our NRF opener, I couldn't resist the urge to fly to Chicago from London to attend homecoming. I couldn't believe they were still trying to sell tickets to Ball friggin' state for hundreds of dollars. I got them a couple days before in the upper bowl for $80 on resale but it still felt like a ripoff given how empty the stadium was.

In any case, I'm jealous of those of you who get to attend games there on the regular. I attended an Arsenal game 3 days later and it was a shite experience in comparison!

It's a sensible move by NU in a sense to try to get more NU fans into the seats.

But jeez it's really a slap in the face to STH who now see the same seats that they paid much more for offered for a fraction of the price (which friends that they might invite to join for a single game now can buy from NU for much less than what the STH paid).

They really should reduce prices next year, otherwise they are going to have some seriously unhappy customers on their hands I think. Outside of the very rich folks who will happily sign up for the suites and not really care about the cost.

I was in Chicago (from NYC) for the Penn St game and will be there for Rutgers. It really is a fantastic experience, great stadium. But they seriously screwed up the pricing and I think a lot of STH are quite unhappy with them.

PS lame that they didn't let NUMB do pregame in the first game. Sure I get they had a whole Pat Ryan honorary thing and a big pregame ceremony, but they could have had NUMB just do pregame earlier. On a related note, hopefully the new NUMB leadership is able to increase the size of the band. They sound good, but need to get more people to join!

Maybe being a little hard on them considering tickets are not available to the general public yet.

At first I thought you were right.

Then I looked at the stadium maps and saw almost no tickets left and thought...okay maybe we're bringing it after all...

Then I just got an email saying "the initial wave" of presale tickets has sold out.

So now I'm left to realize...
1. Nope...there are a lot of tickets left.
2. This "initial" sale was testing the market and seeing if demand creates demand.

I hate the "building the plane while it's in the air" analogy but that's what is happening before our very eyes.

I've lost count of the number of times I've wondered over the years about how Athletics can never seem to utilize the resources of one of the best business schools in the country when it comes to things like this.

If the rollout is any kind of example of that Kellogg expertise, glad I got my MBA elsewhere

imagine the whiplash of freely having beer at a Northwestern home game and then being at a professional sporting event where drinking during the game isn’t allowed. (Apparently Thatcher took care of this in the 80s).
