Headed to Birmingham this weekend for the red Clay strays. Been years since I’ve been to Birmingham. What you got as far as restaurants? Anything from burgers to Michelin?
Second this. I always go to Saw's when in B'ham. I do prefer the Crestline location though.Saw's BBQ, any of them
I actually prefer hole in the walls…….If you are feeling fancy -
Armour House
Bricktop's
Perry's Steakhouse
Giuseppe's is a fantastic hole in the wall Italian place that does not break the bank
I'll 3rd Saw's BBQ as well
Triple upvote for this particular part of the post.If you like meat-and-three lunches, Johnny's in Homewood. Ignore the UM paraphernalia.
Thats what she said.I actually prefer hole in the walls…….
Amore on 280?Our favorite Italian place has slipped a little over the last couple of years, so no help in that genre.
Strays are playing B'ham on 10/31. Are you staying near the arena in downtown or in one of the OTM suburbs? Looking for dinner on Saturday before the show? Check out some of the downtown eateries like The Essential, Wooden City, Helen, Bayonet or El Barrio. Most places in downtown will require reservations for a Saturday dinner, so check ahead.Headed to Birmingham this weekend for the red Clay strays. Been years since I’ve been to Birmingham. You could also probably hit Bottega Cafe in 5 points for an early dinner on Saturday and get in pretty quick.Strays are playing B'ham on 10/31. That’s Saw’s Jukebox Joint and while good, not great but should have live music depending on when you go.Second this. I always go to Saw's when in B'ham. I do prefer the Crestline location though.

Actually have not made hotel reservations yet so any recommendations there are welcom as well. Was kind of leaning toward Ross Bridge, but nothing definite I’m Mariott platinum elite and Hilton diamond. So I usually hang at one of those two spots.Strays are playing B'ham on 10/31. That's another good lunch. Big fan of the Cajun shrimp pasta. This is a good example of a restaurant that has kept up their quality through the years....tastes just as good as it did a decade ago. It’s in Hoover, but I love Ragtime Cafe.

You are correct. I’ve been thinking it was this weekend the whole time. I’m so glad you posted this or I would be in Birmingham with no concert going onStrays are playing B'ham on 10/31. Ross Bridge Marriott is nice. And you could get in a round of golf while you're there. It's overpriced, but a decent course.Actually have not made hotel reservations yet so any recommendations there are welcom as well. Well, to be fair, B'ham is a truly good food city/metro, punches far above its weight. Right there with Memphis IMO.that all you got??
I sincerely appreciate your post. I am a foodie and love good food and good music. I can go James Beard/ Michelin and I can go Hole in the wall. Done my fair share of both. Will be looking into all suggestions. Unfortunately for me Ms Doobee doesn’t like bbq and honestly doesn’t like fine dining. I love it all!!!!! We’ll figure it out and be well pleased I’m confident.Well, to be fair, B'ham is a truly good food city/metro, punches far above its weight. Right there with Memphis IMO.
Need to add Davenport's Pizza in Mountain Brook, and Dmitri's BBQ in Homewood. And Niki's West over in the hood.
