Reagan @ West Forsyth for The CPC Crown

[CPC4LIFE3]

The CPC Title will pretty much be decided Friday Night in the Village. East Forsyth has an outside chance to tie but it’s quite the long shot.

The Defending Champions West Forsyth Titans will have their hands full with a Reagan team built on Defense & Running the ball with multiple backs. RB John Evans Jr looks healthy again. Reagan will need to pass the ball effectively to win this game and that might be the weak spot on that Titan defense. Ask Grimsley who defeated West.

West comes in with its high powered passing game that features 4 scholarship players 3-WR‘s and the TE. They have a Soph QB who’s playing lights out…. A defense that defends the Run very well and applies maximum pressure on opposing QB‘s. The last two years West has blown Reagan off the field In the first half.

West Forsyth 29 Reagan 21

Is Reagan RB Evans playing. I heard was out
Never mind just read about Evans in your post above
This definitely one of top games

He took the first play of the game 75yds to the house Friday….I think he’s just fine… they’ve been resting him because he’s been banged up all year but he looked good Friday Night. He was banged up vs West Forsyth last year as well.

Breaking Down “The Game:”:
I feel both teams have “one glaring weakness” after going back and watching their one loss as well as their wins.

Reagan is NOT what I consider a passing team….And if you fall behind then you’re going to struggle coming back.…That’s one thing they’ve been really good at with past teams. The great thing is….they have the best Running team since their inception.

West secondary was EXPOSED vs Grimsley while Richmond & Davie threw the ball very well on them as they struggled with blown assignments. West still won big….but that stood out…..The good thing is Reagan is not a passing team. Another good thing for West, it may be one of the best passing teams they‘ve had in many years. If they fall behind, they can comeback quickly.

Rushing Game- Advantage Reagan
Passing Game- Advantage West Forsyth
Defensive Front 7- Advantage Reagan
Offensive Line- West Forsyth
Defensive Secondary- Reagan #2 #7
Special Teams- West Forsyth…kicker is fantastic…kick Returner Moore is D-1 dangerous.

What it boils down to these days, is which team has made the best use of the transfer portal. From what it seems, West has made better use of the portal. So I'd expect them to win this matchup.

I agree they’ve used it very well…. The Soph. QB is from Davie County(left after the 8th grade) and he‘s exactly what they needed. They’ve got a couple Mt Tabor players too That have contributed.

The turnovers battle will be critical in this game and the winner of this battle usually wins the game…Especially when both teams are so even…

Congrats Reagan 35-34 in 2OT’s……Reagan has a fantastic running game led by John Evans Jr., Seven Glover & Isaiah Davis. That was two even teams but Reagan wanted more than West Forsyth. It’s been 3 years.
