I think my Dons, got a good draw. Go Dons!!
They can beat anyone in the state. That game is “must see TV”Mount Carmel got a bye and a match in the quarters with LWE. Not bad.
Not an easy road … But… they’re among the top 5 teams I’ve seen play this year. Unfortunately, that team in the semis is the best team I’ve seen this year.Rice as an 8 got a tough draw with Batavia and then if they win down to Normal Community and if they win a date with East St Louis in semis and then if they make it past that most like Hersey
I agree… bad draw.Providence will have to play the 2 teams that can beat them in round 1 and 2 in Kankakee and Morgan Park
Wonder how much higher seed they would've gotten if a certain mustached guy was still HC?Providence will have to play the 2 teams that can beat them in round 1 and 2 in Kankakee and Morgan Park
How would it look if they still win? That will be a storyWonder how much higher seed they would've gotten if a certain mustached guy was still HC?
They being both MTC and LWE, in this instance!!!!!They can beat anyone in the state. That game is “must see TV”
Providence would make quick work of Morgan ParkProvidence will have to play the 2 teams that can beat them in round 1 and 2 in Kankakee and Morgan Park
AbsolutelyI think my Dons, got a good draw. Go Dons!!
I don’t know. Kenwood gave Provi some problems, and MP is better than Kenwood.Providence would make quick work of Morgan Park
Respectfully disagree. MP is the best in the CPL. They lost one game to DGN 17-12. PC let up 111 points combined to MC and Iggy. There is a hole in their defense. It will be a ball game if they play.Providence would make quick work of Morgan Park
Bolingbrook got a decent draw.
The games have to be played but I like The Brook to win the first two games but the quarters vs Oswego is going to be one of the best games this year.![]()
Lockport, and if we survive that--Lyons, and if we survive that--Oswego, and if we survive that--MC/LWE, and if we survive that--Loyola?
Possibly the worst draw in all classes. Time for some Unbiased Official Reports.
Yeah, but you already beat Oswego and you avoid MC/LWE/Loyola until the Semi's, which is really what us "next tier" teams should hope for.![]()

Agreed. Rice has a gauntlet to run. 7A top bracket is loaded.Rice as an 8 got a tough draw with Batavia and then if they win down to Normal Community and if they win a date with East St Louis in semis and then if they make it past that most like Hersey
I was hoping all 3 of them would be on the other side.Yeah, but you already beat Oswego and you avoid MC/LWE/Loyola until the Semi's, which is really what us "next tier" teams should hope for.
I agree to an extent, but I also really underestimated Breese Central last year.SHG/Rochester in 4A south... albeit not their fault, the southern half of the class just sucks.
SHG the easier of the two avoiding Jacksonville who's playing really well atm.
Quincy should clock Sarah Goode and Kennedy if they play them. They play in a lower CPL division it will be similar to the Little Village game they won 63-8. Goode forfeited vs TF North for some reason, the fact that they have a bye is a big reason I don't like this new system. Kennedy is a slightly better situation then Goode as they went 8-1 but again they don't play in a heavy hitter CPL Division and will have a short lived playoff experienceI feel Quincy got a good draw. TF South (3-6/0-6) for opening round and then CPS team Chicago Goode. Not sure how (pun not intended) good of a team Goode is, but possibly Quincy may be looking at a rematch with United Township if they withstand Champaign Central and Kennedy (a CPS) team.
Fair play... Breese is always tough to gauge. Someone will try and tell us Carterville is actually good for once, like they do every year. Honestly Rochester getting the Jax/Cahokia likely winner is much tougher than SHG is all I was really getting at. Kind of like how BC beat Calhoun in a classic, to get the 1 seed in 1A and their reward was CPC or GNW whilst Calhoun gets... probably ALAH... come on man!I agree to an extent, but I also really underestimated Breese Central last year.
Are you ready for the "short" trip to Centralia Week 11?
I took my son and his friend earlier this season to Wheaton for Fenwick and St. Francis.MaxPreps has 6-3 Fenwick as the state's 10th ranked team. One of the teams they could face in the 6A quarters, the 8-1 Geneva Vikings, with standout wideout Bennett Konkey, is ranked 8th.
That's kind of what I was thinking. Their first two games should be cake walks.Quincy should clock Sarah Goode and Kennedy if they play them. Agree... Quincy was handed a gift after a very mediocre showing in the weaker WB6 this season. Not often Quincy gets an easy path, so I'm sure they're very happy with it.That's kind of what I was thinking. Their first two games should be cake walks.
Naz got a great draw at 4-5 to get to semi vs WWS.
Unfortunately, I don't think United Township will make it out of the opening round. Champaign Central should roll through the opening round and against Kennedy given their level of competition. Just too physical upfront for UT I think.I feel Quincy got a good draw. TF South (3-6/0-6) for opening round and then CPS team Chicago Goode. Not sure how (pun not intended) good of a team Goode is, but possibly Quincy may be looking at a rematch with United Township if they withstand Champaign Central and Kennedy (a CPS) team.
