[bac2therac]

Shouldn't you just declare a tie at some point. It's just a scrimmage

I agree..i think 3 ots is enough...tons of valuable experience but at some point diminishing returns and god forbid someone gets injured

[Sweet Pea's Corner]

[bac2therac]

Herculean effort. Lots of postives...with some constant negatives. Valuable lessons and experience. No fault in losing as team was really running on fumes..both actually

[RUgal]

With 4 OTs, we really should have had 100 points.

[Sweet Pea's Corner]

Turrible. Folded like a wet suit in 4 OT

Obviously cant blow leads like that, but luckily its an exhibition. If nothing else weve shown we can compete with some talented teams and have a decent roster. Plenty to like about todays performance, but certainly things to improve. But excited for the season!

You put your head back together?

[80RU]

We lost this game at the foul line

St. John's was 8-8 in the last OT -- so give them credit. RU 1-4 plus a couple of short arms on shots that were makable. Just a question of legs after all that time.

[RUBlackout]

Jmike should not be playing...misses key FT in 3OT

Powers also needs to sit also - misses 2 FTs to open 4 OT and should have been pretty fresh compared to others

Powers should not be playing. He was brought here as a “shooter,” but can’t shoot. He’s bad on defense too, so not sure what he actually brings to the team. I guess just length, but he doesn’t use that length to good use.

Carino with flowers for RU:

That first half

Rutgers went into the break leading 46-28 after a stunning display of spacing, ball-sharing and hustle. The starting backcourt of Tariq Francis and Lino Mark torched St. John’s guards – including seasoned foreign pro Quinn Ellis – over the first 20 minutes.

Powers looks awful. He's only going to get so many opportunities before he finds his butt sealed to the bench.

[RUChet]

Didn’t watch but I see SJU had almost 2x the assists. We had only 13 assists and scored almost 100? That’s just awful

mice to see we played them tight but the massive amount of 1-1 play will not win a lot of high major games

[PSAL_Hoops]

We picked up last minute seats for $20 and drove in. Fun atmosphere. Great game.

Lino holding that knee on the bench in 4 OT. I hope he’s ok. Anything long term would be a disaster.
