Sitting at 6-1 on the year. Over half the season gone. Let’s take a look at what we have left.

Realistically we could go anywhere from 4-1 to 1-4 to finish the year. Obviously we want what’s best.
I think at this point there is no way we lose to Vandy barring a major melt down. That has us sitting at 7-1 heading into the bye week before traveling to Knoxville.
Let’s assume for a second we lose that game. If we do, we’d have to win out to make the playoff. I think you can only take one more loss regardless of who it’s too. I think Missouri and Florida could easily be toss up games. We should be favorites over prostitute U to the west.

I’m going to put these odds on what’s remaining
Vandy 90% chance to win -17 odds
Tennessee 35% change to win +7 odds
Florida 55% change to win -3 odds
At Missouri 50% chance to win +1.5 odds
Louisville 65% chance to win -6 odds

what say you?

6-6, then lose the bowl game to finish 6-7.
Comments like this are a reminder that our fanbase is still broken in regards to football. But it’s in repair.

some of you can’t surmise any outcome other than the one you’re used to. Or maybe in your case you just don’t know enough about football to recognize a good team when it’s standing right in front of you.

I was expecting to lose the last couple games. But we won. I’m even worried about next week because I expect the cosmic football powers to drag us back down to where we’ve lived for over a century.

Join me in the bottomless pit of hopelessness, brother.

Maybe try reading his prediction again from a slightly different angle.

Missouri is going to be tough at their place. I think yesterday was a little bit of an anomaly, although who knows at this point. I think our best shots at wins are Vandy, Florida and UL, but we could lose all of those as well, if we don’t get out offense rolling.

I did consider that. The ole reverse jinx stuff. But I’m not superstitious. I’m not even a little stitious. But I know lots of fans that needed to hear what I said regardless. As a fanbase we don’t know how to have a good football team

All I know is WE need you to keep bailing on the team at halftime every week

We've already exceeded all reasonable expectations. I don't recall any fans saying we would have at least 6 wins.

The floor is probably 7 at this point, which is two more than most preseason ceiling projections.

Stein is a bad, bad man.
Don’t think I posted it but I was projecting 6-6 and maybe 7-5 before the season. At this point let’s take it one a game at a time and let the chips fall where they may.

I very much believe we finish 4-1

We will handle Vandy. Florida and Missouri will be tough but we get the Gators at home and Ole Miss just laid the blueprint for Missouri. I’ve also watched enough of U of L at this point to predict we will rush for close to 200 yards on them and probably win by multiple scores.

I don’t think we win at Tennessee although I would love to be wrong. They’re very big and physical upfront on D and will be at home.

10-2. College Football Playoff. In year 1!

I fear none of the remaining teams. This isn't UK of old.

I encourage everyone to read opposing teams' forums before and after our games when we win. The cope is real with other fans

I feel pretty sure we beat Vanderbilt. We’re at home and they’ve shown very little spark this year without Pavia. I also think we’re probably a better team than Louisville, but my confidence is a notch lower just because rivalry games can be weird and we don’t know what our injury situation might look like by then.

The other 3 games will be very tough. I’m not very confident in projecting any particular one as a win, but they’re close enough to a toss up that maybe we get one of them. Getting two of them may even be achievable if everything goes right, but that’s asking a lot.

That would make 9-3 my official prediction, which would have been beyond my wildest dreams in the preseason with our schedule.

We certainly can but 50 plus years of finding ways to lose football games is not going to erased overnight. I’m sure most on this board, as did I, felt we were going to lose 16-14 after passing on the FG attempt and getting stopped on 4th. We had all the momentum and that swung it back their way. D dialed up the pressure though and never gave them a chance. I felt bad all game long when they had the ball as we were just letting them do whatever they wanted with little resistance. 4th quarter though we changed things up and it was a thing of beauty.

What was the blueprint for the Missouri game? Didn’t watch a second of that one yesterday.

Depends on how other teams win or lose

Um… duh…

It’s a discussion on what people think. Not a question about how rankings work.

but it does depend on other teams but only to an extent. We can compare resumes now and see who has opportunities to surpass what our resume would look like at 7-1. It’s not the top 25 poll where you pretty much move up or down at this point in the season dependent on who lost above you.

I expect our playoff ranking to be higher than our AP ranking.
