Getting any vaccine should be a personal decision and a shared decision with one's medical doctor. It should be be based on "just do it" because someone else got it with no side effects. Particular patients may have issues with particular drugs/vaccines. And trust, but verify. Many years ago, was doing work on generics seeking approval of COX-2 inhibitors for pain. Studying the data, there were signals that COX-2 inhibitors showed an increased incidence of heart attacks. When dealing with a pain issue, my doctor prescribed Vioxx. I passed, and he prescribed Celebrex-another COX-2 inhibitor. Vioxx was pulled from the market. Celebrex was never pulled. I never filled the prescription for Celebrex and found a new doctor.

The marketing authorisation of Tavneos was revoked by the Commission Implementing Decision of 4 August 2026.

This is not an attempt to throw shade at Shingrix. I got the 2 dose vaccine, but it was painful. Will I get a "booster" if one is needed? I don't know. Trust, but verify.
