Watch: Matt Campbell recaps Penn State's 21-18 loss to Michigan
What did Penn State head coach Matt Campbell say following his team's loss at Michigan? Watch his postgame press conference here.
Rocco will continue to grow. Maybe by the end of the season he'll hit 6'0".This team’s growth has been visibly observable the last two weeks. I agree with coach Campbell. Also, Rocco just needs to continue to grow. If Rocco can continue to grow, he’ll be able to finish his 10 year college career with a .500 season! I realize that’s a big IF, but watching this team continue to grow has been truly enjoyable, and I’m confident they’ll continue to make us all proud as they grow. Grow grow grow. Thank you coach Campbell!
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe 5’11, but definitely continual growth.Rocco will continue to grow. Maybe by the end of the season he'll hit 6'0".
Fish grow thru out their lives. I guess that makes this team a school of fish.I was thinking the same thing. Maybe 5’11, but definitely continual growth.
Good thing he’s a freshmanThis team’s growth has been visibly observable the last two weeks. I agree with coach Campbell. Also, Rocco just needs to continue to grow. No, he’s only got a handful of games left in his career. That’s why I’m so excited to see him continue to grow, and I know he will. Coach Campbell is confident in him, that’s for sure.Good thing he’s a freshman
He might be as good as Matt Seneca by 2027No, he’s only got a handful of games left in his career. That’s why I’m so excited to see him continue to grow, and I know he will. Coach Campbell is confident in him, that’s for sure.
He’ll have to continue to grow, but yes, he has the potential to be in the conversation with guys like SenecaHe might be as good as Matt Seneca by 2027
Then Campbell is a goldfish , keeps forgetting how bad Rocco plays.Fish grow thru out their lives. I guess that makes this team a school of fish.

Does Becht have some sort of incriminating information on Campbell? Nothing else explains this shat.

Not many agents have qbs that are this badHe's not going to bench Becht because he knows every agent will question if he'd bench their player if the team struggles. To move on from Becht, MC has to make the move during a game (today would have been the time after the second pick) and whatever QB he goes to would have to do extremely well
You're wrong about that but it doesn't matter. What do you think Dylan Raiola's agent is doing right now? Guys want guaranteed playing time...when you bench a vet it will scare others offNot many agents have qbs that are this bad
Glad we are rooting for Rocco Becht UI’m sure HCMC made a promise and commitment to RB and his parents that he will not be benched if he followed him to Happy Valley. It’s likely that simple.
So a good qb thinks playing a bad qb is good for them? You're wrong about that but it doesn't matter. What do you think Dylan Raiola's agent is doing right now? Guys want guaranteed playing time...when you bench a vet it will scare others off

If that’s the commitment, another indictment on hcmcA player wants a coach to honor his commitment to them--simple
Cool, so hes more loyal the becht family than his employer?I’m sure HCMC made a promise and commitment to RB and his parents that he will not be benched if he followed him to Happy Valley. It’s likely that simple.
All coaches are doing this now--it's why we rarely see QBs benched. Whittingham wanted to bench Underwood after week 1 and had to wait until the half of game 6--and he's still going to get crap for it because of the money being paid to UnderwoodCool, so hes more loyal the becht family than his employer?

Which is an indictment on him for bringing in Manske as his number 2. Bet manske leaves for a starting jobI prefer to think that Campbell views Becht as the only option based on what he sees of his QBs in practice.

Who is going to just hand him a starting job with nothing on tape?Which is an indictment on him for bringing in Manske as his number 2. Bet manske leaves for a starting job
How much is maske going to cost heading into next year? If not for us, for anyone, and what has he shown? Lets even forget loyalties to Becht. Does this staff want Manske around and what is it going to cost? Is he worth it, how would one know? All coaches are doing this now--it's why we rarely see QBs benched. Manske shouldn't be overly expensive but might be much more expensive if he playsHow much is maske going to cost heading into next year? If not for us, for anyone, and what has he shown? Conner ebel plays, and Hansen gets more carries than anyone? Are you suggesting Manske doesnt play because of meritocracy alone?Manske shouldn't be overly expensive but might be much more expensive if he plays
In theory, the staff should know what they have in him based on practice--the fact he's not playing should tell us a lot
I'm suggesting Ebel and Hansen play because they're the best we have. I don't even think it's debatable any more than Hansen is by far our best behind a horrible line. I'm guessing your implication is that he's playing Iowa State guys which isn't true.Conner ebel plays, and Hansen gets more carries than anyone? Are you suggesting Manske doesnt play because of meritocracy alone?
Players that commit to a program therefore should not sit out of bowl games and the like.A player wants a coach to honor his commitment to them--simple
Why? Bowl games are simply a reward for a mediocre season. By them sitting out bowl games, the younger guys that worked hard all year get an opportunity to show what they're capable of. Which actually hurts programs in the NIL era.Players that commit to a program therefore should not sit out of bowl games and the like.
