Game Thread: No. 25 Northwestern at Michigan State

[NUcats92]

That won’t change the fact that your attitude sucks.

Gee I wonder how this guy felt when we were down 20 to 0 at halftime in the holiday bowl…..

[TejasCat]

So much easier to move ball when it’s not 2nd and 12 every time. Nice drive! Reminds me of IU game - let’s get ball back and get another TD

[989bjm989]

OMG we got lucky on that overthrow, again.

[989bjm989]

O line killing us.

[Itschiry]

what on earth..

[GeauxCatsGeaux]

Panic move. Wowza

[989bjm989]

WTF

[HawkCat]

Whyyyyyy?!?

[Sheffielder]

catastrophic call

[bringbacktherantboard]

catastrophic call

I guess we don't trust our defense. If they're going to score anyway, might as well give them a short field so we'll have time left to score.

[Sheffielder]

no confidence in our secondary?

[Drilcat]

Oh lord. Need a miracle TO.

[Medill '03]

I've seen NU coaches make a lot of dumb decisions. Congratulations, David Braun! Against your predecessor, you made the dumbest call in the history of NU football!

[WestCoastWildcat]

WTF?!!!
Disaster of a call.

[stpaulcat]

Whew.

[Skunkpilot]

That was dumb.

[Itschiry]

That delayed draw up the middle on 2nd and 17. Then that fake. I don't know what was worse, the idea or the fact that nobody looked like they knew the play call. Still time, but good grief! Go Cardiac Cats.

[NUcats92]

I just don’t understand the reasoning for that call extremely risky, and it blew up in their face.

[Anon1756236851]

Lets see what our coaches are really made of.

Clown show!

No he is not. Both of you guys are cynical losers.

I prefer to think realists. Did you enjoy that fake punt?

[bringbacktherantboard]

no confidence in our secondary?

We fought so hard to tie it up. I don't understand taking such a risk at that part of the field in a tied game.

[HawkCat]

Mind blowing. Now we might need to let them score to have any chance.

Even the announcers know that Chip Kelly runs the ball EVERY TIME on second and long.

[RockfishCat]

OMG I’ve never seen such a stupid call! With the game tied? We deserve to lose.

UPDATE: I’ve never been so happy to have been wrong. Still a stupid call. But I don’t care now. GO CATS!!!

[AdamOnFirst]

That is a ******* HORROBLE decision.

[RockfishCat]

I've seen NU coaches make a lot of dumb decisions. Congratulations, David Braun! Against your predecessor, you made the dumbest call in the history of NU football!

By far the dumbest. Unbelievable. I still can’t believe it.

UPDATE: still the dumbest call ever but I don’t care now! GO CATS!!!

[Arlcatsfan]

Why would you make that call at that time in the game and field position as it was. Stupid call

And then didn’t take a time out before the 2 minute warning to save time. A really stupid sequence for the coach.

[GeauxCatsGeaux]

Here comes the miracle.

[EvanstonCat]

Why aren’t we passing more against a defense that is missing 3 corners?

[cat inkansas]

And then didn’t take a time out before the 2 minute warning to save time. A really stupid sequence for the coach.

Speechless

[bringbacktherantboard]

At least we get the ball back with a fighting chance.

[GeauxCatsGeaux]

LIKE. I. SAID. HERE COMES THE MIRACLE

[bringbacktherantboard]

Why aren’t we passing more against a defense that is missing 3 corners?

We've gotten sacked a few times, including the last drive.

Exactly. Why would you not call time out there? Braun has a long way to go.

[Sheffielder]

if we win this one i'm drinking all the malort <===the price of a good time

[bringbacktherantboard]

LIKE. I. SAID. HERE COMES THE MIRACLE

That makes us even, too.

[stpaulcat]

Whew again!!

[989bjm989]

Wow.

[EvanstonCat]
