Patterson is out after the injury at Hickory. First thought was that it wasn't that bad, however he is in a lower leg cast right now. Can't tell you how long he might be out for right now. We have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball but the main thing holding us back right now is depth. Our guys took a lot of beating during the EL and Hickory games and the depth just isn't there as it is with a lot of teams.
Game update, I just got here alittle bit ago and wow EB upsets RS Central and bout to lose to Chase right now.

East Lincoln and Hickory defenses are absolute trash but my god both are so entertaining as heck to watch play

Guess the QB being out makes a difference and I believe Newton is finding themselves. Good JV crew to fill in some shoes behind em’ next year they may be alright. I seen a 3 win EB team in 06’ go 3rd round the next year and became best team ever.
East wins 42-39 ... was behind 39-35 with like 40 seconds left.. Beam throws up a prayer into triple coverage that Dollar comes down with, and takes it down to about the five, East scores two plays later with like 12 seconds left...

Moral victory? 3-5 and West Iredell and Hickory left.... Maiden is just not that good this year.

That's a fact. Maiden isn't that good this year. The sad part is, we have some talent. But, for whatever reason, we seem to regress one week to the next. Especially the defense. Not sure what's happened to them, but they're not the same solid group that played well against Lincolnton and AC Reynolds to start the season. They seem confused a lot, resulting in missed assignments, and they commit too many senseless unsportsmanlike conduct penalties - the kind that keeps drives alive after we finally get what should have been a stop. If not for a bad snap from center in the fourth quarter, Bandys probably wins this game. Bandys hadn't punted up until that point, and Maiden didn't punt the entire game. If you like a "defense is optional" type game, this was your game. Maiden was fortunate tonight. We're one bad snap from center away from being 3-5, and 0-4 at home this season. All that being said, we were down 34-24 in the fourth quarter, and it was a nice comeback win to keep hopes of a .500 season alive.
Like I posted earlier kids should not be left to their own devices on game day when school is out. Without that normal structure on game day some of these kids get way outta wack. They need the structure of a school day on game day
Loss two straight for the first time in 4 years, pretty impressive, it just shows how dominate we've been over the years with back-to-back close losses but both very winnable games, brutal stretch, just hoping it shapes us going forward into our bye and to go to Bandys and do what we do, Jaxon Dollar is probably one of the best athletes I've seen with my eyes 
very hard to cover, East Lincoln really utilized him well putting him in the back field early in the game, I don't think he dropped one pass last night, he looks like a 5-star, it's not hype he is really good, I've seen hands like that since Sage Surratt or Lance Johnson. We doubled-teamed him with our tallest player and our most athletic player on the defensive side of the ball behind him. I don't want to misspeak or be critical of anyone on the Hickory sideline, but it was just so many adjustments that should had been made, I don't know if common sense football is a term but........ based on what I seen in the game last night 
it was missing at times.
I just feel you got to coach kids to their strengths opposed to what worked at one point, if that make sense, we just can't lose our edge and when you are the big fish and HICKORY or HKY is across your chest you will get everyone best shot. 6-3, 5-2 in conference play might be good for a team that don't win much or fighting to be .500 record but in Hickory and in the Glass era the standards are higher.
I just hope we are prepared for whatever the rest of the way has for us and these games produce the lessons that needed to be learn, but I think everyone needs to take accountability in that Loss last night. Congrats to East Lincoln. #TornadoPride

Always hated to have to play on days when school is out. You're exactly right, it throws everything outta whack.... I feel the same for games after bye weeks, I hate bye weeks
