James will be a 4 Time NC. Not sure how good on the mat tho.
I am watching HS football, half time. I didn't see, but I tend to default to international ref.Why wasn’t that a fall for James?
I hope that was a wake-up match for JamesCloser match than I expected but James finds a way. I had flashbacks of his u20 final when Marcu got in deep in the last :20 but he held on. Into the semis against a super tough Iranian!

Future vs Ross match, book it, and yes Ross will be the starter this year. :-/Holy **** did Merrill just get destroyed! 10-0 tech in 1:07. It looked like he had never seen a leg attack before. Just got blown through on 3 straight doubles
Not 5?James will be a 4 Time NC. Not sure how good on the mat tho.
You caught Spyker in a rare moment of restraint. Not 5?
Any idea of the schedule tomorrow? Times, of matches, etc.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there are < 100 people here not directly affiliated with an athlete. Whatever, I’m having funsies. Got to meet @Goldbanger, Mr Casual himself and spend the day with some friends I wouldn’t otherwise know if not for wrestling.Just turned it on. Quite a crowd.

Thx! I find it odd that during a world championship, none of the organizers could be bothered to tally real time team scores. Seems like part of the job of running a tournament.
After day 1 of men's free I've got:
Iran 62
Rus 50
USA 46
I didn't add up the others. Since UWW and Flo aren't interested in this maybe we can talk @Baschamania into putting in on his page.
Justin, if you see this, ideally a team score chart like the Penn State Wrestling Club provides with current team scores and max. potential points. Thanks for your work on the events page, it's the best available to track these tournaments.
I'm with you on Basch and UWW, getting it a half hour late though is better than not getting it at all.Baschamania scrapes data from the UWW site. It's why things get a half hour behind or so at times. UWW must have a group of semi trained monkeys updating their information and don't care.
FloArena does team scores but they score it differently as they have it Russia 60, Iran 50 and US 40. I used Floarena classic and teams/competitor tab.
1st 25I'm with you on Basch and UWW, getting it a half hour late though is better than not getting it at all.
As for flo, it looks like they're only going by placement points. UWW's scoring method hasn't been published anywhere that I've seen so I've tried to decipher it. Gold 25, Silver 20, Bronze 15, 5th 10, non-placers get 2 points for each win.
Speaking of "late", hopefully you're not too busy today and can do your pbp. It was missed yesterday afternoon.Baschamania scrapes data from the UWW site. It's why things get a half hour behind or so at times. UWW must have a group of semi trained monkeys updating their information and don't care.

I saw that but it doesn't agree with what UWW posts as "Team Rankings" which are posted after each bracket is complete.
page 26
They go by these scoring methods. So after 5th placement ordered by whoever has most points by their formulas. The formulas consider competition points first (5 for fall, 4 for tech all, 3 for win, 1 for scoring despite losing). Then if those are tied the sort order is number of falls, number of tech falls, number of points scored, number of points conceded (conceded is reverse sorted...). I sometime track competitions with a home-made spreadsheet but these brackets are huge and I've only created spreadsheets for up to 22 entries.
Edited: it does says 1 team point for winning a bout, 0 for losing and then these other ways take place in case of a tie.
