Realistically, if either Shertz or Lucas excels this season, offer one of them.

N'diaye looks good. He'll certainly help us offensively. My biggest concern going into the season was not having a physical 6-8/6-9 goon that could defend and rebound against elite teams. N'diaye isn't that guy. Nor is McBride. We've already seen him struggle to finish over length tonight against a bad team.

The offense will come around. And I'm not too worried about our guards. But rebounding and interior defense is probably going to problematic all season.

Those were mostly freshman dominated teams that didn’t fully gel until February or March. This is a team full of transfers that have played college for multiple years.

Excuses. That was NBA talent.
So many people want that. It’s great when you get transcendent kids, but they aren't that common.
You can't say you want top ranked kids, then nake excuses like "they're young" when we get embarrasses.

Early in the season when your defense plays that bad as he last 2 possessions you need to take a timeout and light into them. Pope is setting the expectation and standard right now. He needs to demand more from them when it comes to execution on both ends, and smart play. Very disappointing right now.

That and we told ourselves “oh, we lost our top 6 rotations players. This isn’t going to be the norm”. And then it became the norm. Cal thooght he could put a dominant team on the court every year with recruiting alone. He was wrong and then tried to jedi mind trick us into believing so many of those teams were better than they were. Worked on an alarming number of the fanbase. And still does.
