Say what you want about him but

[POTUS]

Elon Musk is the first super rich person ever to actually do cool stuff with the money:

Supposedly, it can go from 15 to 80% charge in 10 mins with the right charger.

[RocketDawg]

It's probably because that he's not only a genius at business dealings, he's also a technical genius. He knows how to develop technology, and then use it.

Where's the love for the guy that invented the amphibious car? How about the guy that invented the duck boat? Seriously though, say what you will about Musk but the guy is a true pioneer and visionary. He's this generations Edison.

[BoDawg.sixpack]

The way we travel is changing. Driverless cars and aerial transports. The drone taxis are particularly interesting to me. Coming soon to a city near you.

[LOTRGOTDAWGFAN]

he's not the first to come out with this. eVTOL tech has been out for a number of years, and several prototypes have been in the making for some time.

[mstateglfr]

This flying and levitation tech is really neat. I saw a brief clip yesterday without context and figured it was some altered/AI video.
Super cool that its real, since this sort of tech can find its way into many other fields and products over time.

The multiple 'say what you want' comments about Musk in this thread made me think of the 'shut up and dribble' statement from a decade ago that is now so frequently cited in discussions.
I am sure any day now Ingraham will tell Musk to shut up and innovate.**

It looks like spaceship thrusters that have been in use for 60 years. Im sure putting them in a car produces some additional challenges though.

[L4Dawg]

He is also a genius at sustainably conning investors. That is by far his biggest gift.

I'm serious about that statement. Look at what his companies make in profits and look at what their market cap is. Look at that over time. It is amazing.

I think you meant "with our money." Most of that rocket tech has been developed with federal grants (tax payer money) - so, of course he wants to merge Tesla and SpaceX. Hope he's having fun. But yes, that was pretty unbelievable.

[ETK99]

I didn't want people to know, but the cat's out of the bag.

[dudehead]

I just helped my 86 year old mother buy a Tesla Model Y Premium and it is the most incredible automobile I've ever experienced. The FSD drove us home flawlessly from Brandon. And it flat hauls ***. FSD is the main reason we got it; we hope it extends her ability to keep driving.

I plan to get one for my bride soon, although I'm a bit concerned about her heavy foot - she loves to go fast and I fear the Y may be more than she can handle.

Kudos to Elon; he builds a helluva car.

[TilloDwg]

He called it in 2018....

Same story for me ….fsd

Golfer, making the non-political conversation political. Who'da thunk it?

[POTUS]

Golfer, making the non-political conversation political. Who'da thunk it?

The difference between Elon & LeBron is that Elon has actually contributed meaningfully to society.

It's not lost on me that if Elon was on team blue instead of team red, all the people critical of him would be praising him and vice versa. Anyone trying to dump on this is just a hack. The car has rocket boosters for goodness sakes. If you can't just appreciate something cool, you're likely not very fun to be around.

[ckDOG]

And I still don't have my 17ing hoverboard I've been wanting since 1989.

[UpTheMiddlex3Punt]

Why can't he just spend billions of dollars on not solving world hunger like all the other billionaires?

[thatsbaseball]

Now do a PU truck that at least kinda looks like truck .

[thedoubledeuce]

And an EREV SUV with massaging seats.

I did not make this political.
Multiple posters before me said somethong like ‘say what you will’, which references Musk being heavily active in social issues and politics.

So I posted a funny comparison.
Go be mad at those who opened the door.

I was actually about to congratulate you for what I thought was a completely neutral post

[Hugh's Burner Phone]

Not impressed. Some good ole boys in the 70's were doing this. They just had to quit because it was a little bit more than the law would allow.

This may be my most favorite statement I have read all year

We live in amazing times......thank you Potus

*how cool would it be to access your off-set smoker, and use the rocket thrusters from an app on your phone to have it fly from where it is stored on the back of your property to your patio

See this is how you know it's a State board. We are already mounting rockets to the smoker. When Elon is landing Green Eggs on people's back porches, he'll have really won over the maroon and white crowd.

I mean......it hurts to think ideas like mounting rocket boosters to off-set smokers (or green eggs) is not folks immediate thought.......but alas, we live in a broken world

I will now say, that much like judging a individual by their love of bacon, we can now further qualify someone by the eagerness they express in the thought of mounting rocket boosters to their grill

for the most part, you can mount rocket boosters to just about anything

that's nothing...I'll put the chic magnet up against this marketing gimic anyday. (0 to 60? eventually).

Fact:

Elon missed a great opportunity to paint his car like the General Lee but we all know it would have triggered people.

[patdog]

[tbaydog]

[Dawghouse]

Roadster tests in Central America did not go so well.

[Pars]

I’m actually on board to put more rich ******** in a car with more pressurized nitrogen

[Allday.sixpack]

Elon Musks’ greatest achievement is buying Twitter and removing 80% of its users which were China driven bots that were influencing our political campaigns and social agendas.

[Pars]

Wait. There was no one in the car and it was stripped of all other components and remote controlled.
Jesus butt ******* Christ you all are a simple lot

Twitter is still full of Chinese and Russian bots.

I think it took about 15 years for Amazon to earn enough money to surpass its massive losses in it’s developing years. If you’re a darling of Wall Street you get a lot of rope.

Well this is certainly an opinion.
It's devoid of reality, but it is an opinion.

He certainly put a dent in it but it's still infected with foreign bots influencing opinions in the US with progressive and liberal garbage and other divisive, destructive trash. Really all of social media is a cesspool of foreign propaganda, especially FB.
