I'm honestly excited to watch the game. Given the weather, I'm skipping Friday night HS football and going to settle in and watch it. There are a ton of question marks on this years team. Feel like it could go really well or not so great given how good/not good those question marks are. Exhibitions are what they are, but it will be good to see those players play against another team. I'm always excited for basketball, and if for nothing else this will keep my mind occupied waiting for 6:30 tomorrow night in Norman!

You’re celebrating the Duke and Gonzaga December wins just like Indiana did against Kentucky. That’s all you got Pope is the absolute worst. He’s got you happy with losing 10 games every year finishing in the middle of the pack in the SEC and not even cracking the top 10 during the regular season. What is your uncle?
I stopped watching last year. After the zags game! I despise Mark Pope as a coach! I honestly believe rupp rafters can put together a coaching staff better than Mark pope. He can’t coach.

Like every other basketball thread started on this board in short order some needle Johnson IDIOT goes on a 20 reply tirade about the coach and how he sucks. Yes, but our bench is not as good as other major programs. I watched every game last year, and I can tell you that Noah is not good. He's very slow, misses a lot of open shots, and can't guard. I thought Perry was better than Noah a couple years ago, and I still didn't think he was all that impressive either.
I know Morton is hurt, but wasn't he ranked in like the 300-400's? Like I said, he and Noah get praise because they're from here. If they were on any other blue blood roster, they're probably 8-9 in the rotation.
Not to mention one of our backup big men has a higher % of not making it through a season than he does of making through one.
And let's be honest, if any of the other point guards had committed that came here before Zoom, he wouldn't even have been a thought. But because he committed when the others didn't want to, we are acting like he was the only one we and every other team wanted.
I saw someone trying to compare the current bench to the 2012 team's bench. Yeah, it wasn't very deep, but I'd pick their starting 5 plus Miller and maybe Wiltjer 100/100 times over this one. The comparison is laughable.
Whether you admit it or not, if you compare how this team was constructed to buildinga house, everyone else was shopping at 84, Lowe's, and Home Depot for their wood, While Pope is the guy driving around neighborhoods with a trailer the night before trash day, hoping to find good pieces among everyone else's scraps.
I am always super pumped this time of year and the football team is making it even more exciting. Go Cats.

I believe it, I watched every minute he played, almost all of which were horrific in February and March. He was literally unplayable in the SEC and NCAA tournaments. If you don't believe me, go back and look at the game threads.
Well, you celebrate BCG's sweet 16 at aTm and Travis Ford winning a conference championship in a mid major conference and trying to argue they are better coaches for those reasons.

And you're damn right I'm celebrating wins over Gonzaga on the road, an NBA loaded duke team and the win over the eventual title winner, those were great wins, not good wins, great wins. It’s better than losing to UNCW in Rupp in December, now isn't it?
