I have posted my opinion here and discussed with friends. If Taylor really wants to wrestle PSU in a dual, he made a huge mistake not bringing some of his guys to this event.
Oklahoma State wrestles Stanford that weekend before.
Just guessing, but I doubt that the All Star match was a surprise opportunity that showed up after the Stanford match was scheduled.
Did you hear was NIL $ upped ? Because originally VA tech staff had said no guys would doing the all star classic
Basch alluded to money being paid to wrestlers. He mentioned $15,000 as an example that may change some minds.
old skool story - yawn if you want: I was part of the all star event at the U of DE back in the early 2000s ... we were pinching pennies to get flights for a wrestler and a coach, beggin local hotels for comp rooms ... now they are getting paid 10s of thousands?

Seems more like Cael doesnt wanna wrestle Okie state or doesnt care enough, if anything. Taylor already put forth his invitation to wrestle why should he keep going out of his way especially when their schedule is probably already tight. Plus we don’t even know how many PSU wrestlers are even wrestling in all star event yet.
It’s hard to believe that somebody who “grew up” in the house that Cael built would think that a public challenge would be the way to get PSU’s attention! Ego and arrogance are always the enemies of success.

I’m just saying that if you want to influence that guy, calling him out as scared on the internet is neither all that accurate, nor the most effective approach. Just my impression after studying his mindset pretty closely these last many years.

Unless it's a measure of how badly the bridge has been burned. The better approach would seem to be approaching the matter privately instead of a grandiose grandstanding one.

Out of curiosity, if Cael gives in to satisfy you and 99% of the anonymous wrestling fans that want PSU to bow down to David’s demand and wrestle OSU, and that costs one or more of our guys a national championship because we alter our training cycles and someone gets hurt or otherwise fails to peak as planned, are you good with that as long as you get to see the matches you want? If so, then you have your priorities wrong because the wrestlers wouldn’t make that trade. If you think that isn’t realistic then maybe it’s why Cael is the coach and you aren’t. Call me whatever you want, I’m going to ride with Cael.

I’d pay good money to watch either. Ross might have a chance, but not sure about the rest of the lineup.
