Only thing that worries me about this game is that it's away. That's it. I actually think we are better than them. This is the first time all season against an SEC opponent that I have actually felt confident when comparing teams. If it were at home I would have no problem actually picking the Cats for once.

I think it all comes down to QB play. They are going to come after Minchy and try to rattle him so we have to be ready to run the ball and get things out quick to keep them off of him. And on their side Mateer was a Heisman watch guy just last year but has been struggling since so we can't let him suddenly find his rythm against us and play his tail off. We need to come after him too and dont let him get comfortable and gain confidence. If we make him uncomfortable he'll turn it over.

Its tough to win on the road in the sec but UK has done it twice already. Oklahoma best chance is to make UK screw up like Texas did due to the sooners below average offense.

I think its gonna be another coin flip game affair. Can UK keep winning every close down to the wire game this season? I hope so.

So far Oklahoma has faced only elite defense. We absolutely must prevent this from being the breakout game for Mateer and Oklahoma's offense.

We MUST hold our average on offense. That means score over 31 points and continue to hold on to the football and not fumble or throw interceptions. I look for Oklahoma to score 24 points on offense alone Saturday - so we must not turn it over and we must not allow their defense to score.

LSU adjusted during halftime and mostly neutralized our ground game in the second half...fortunately (with the exception of a couple series) our play calling was elite - especially our glorious final drive to tie and force overtime. We need those 260-270 yards out of Minchey and our passing game.

  • We need offense to maintain it's average. +260 yards by Minchey and score over 31 points minimum.
  • Don't fumble. Don't throw pics.
  • Defense do NOT let Mateer and Oklahoma's offense break out against you. Hold to 24 points or less.

This. Hope their offense doesn't figure out it's mess and don't let mateer control the game with his legs. If we do that, we'll be fine.

Just a feeling the big win over LSU, a long trip out to OK, and our lack of depth catching up to us will result in a close loss. Just a feeling. I hope my feeling and hunches are as good as my stock picks lately. Not good. 📉

My heart says yes, but my head says no. I feel like we’ve gone through this before with Stoops and Brooks where we start off really well but as the season processes we begin to lose and return back to the mean.

This game will either be the bottleneck that we’ve experienced all too many times or finally breaking through the glass ceiling that we’ve all wished for.

People forget Oklahoma is coming off their biggest high of the season as well. They are really not a good offense and our quarterback doesn’t make the same mistakes Manning does. Cats win.

The only difference is those Stoops and Brooks years we got to 5-1 and hadn't beat anyone . It was usually a few cupcakes and lower tier SEC teams to get there. But I do think we're due for some hiccups

UK can't turn the ball over. Oklahoma struggles to score. No defensive or special teams points and the Cats have a real shot. Overall, it will be a very difficult game to win but OU could have a little bit of a letdown after their win over their arch rival who nobody expected them to beat.

Yeah, hard to get away from thinking about the pain of those second half of the season collapses but I think it’s gonna be different with Stein being a young, high energy guy and motivator. Heck, if you just watch how the AD and staff reacted after that LSU win you can tell how pumped they are and I think the kids feed off of that. Gotta think OU was maxed out on adrenaline for that Texas game so they’re also ripe for a letdown imo.

Despite being an away game Oklahoma isn't accustomed to playing night SEC games. Crazy as it sounds, this could benefit the Cats.

That Oklahoma home field advantage is a real thing. They have the 2nd longest home sell-out streak in the country. The OU defense is very good, too.
I believe our advantage is in coaching. Venables is winning at a much lower rate than the Sooners historical average. Stein will out smart him.

As good as their home field atmosphere is, it’s no better than A&M or USC. That part of the game shouldn’t shock/startle our team.

I really have no clue. I feel like we have won games in OT, when we should not have been in OT to begin with. That will bite us at some point. We have to play a complete game this weekend to win.

31-24 CATS. Just play like we’re capable on offense, play good enough on defense and I love our chances. This staff will have them ready to run through a wall by game time. Go Cats
