It's not an opinion when you've sat through 2 years of Mark Pope. And look at Pope's teams at previous schools. We should all expect at least 11 losses (his average), and be surprised if we don't hit that. That's where we are. Barnhart fired one last kill shot into this program before retiring.

What is it about then? You post the opinion about bench players of some absolute nobody and pretend it shows something telling about Mark Pope and Kentucky basketball. If it isn't about that person's opinion, what is it about? Here's my opinion, and I have more X followers than Drew Norton and more credibility, because a long time ago I actually played college basketball: Kentucky's bench has several decent players and a couple who could possibly break out and be major contributors. In no way does that list by some teenager you posted to show the opposite mean anything.

Half the team is already injured and the season hasnt started.

3 guys out and 2 expected to return soon. That’s not half. I mean loaded depth wise after those 2 return with solid capable players. I think a several of our players will be on all sec teams post season.
Just my opinion but I’m very optimistic CMP has gotten his feet down and we’re going to have a fun year. Like what I see and hear.ll

That definitely seems to be a theme for some of our fans. They want to pretend Kentucky doesn't have the money to complete just to make Pope look better. They are the only people in America who think Kentucky has a money problem. We've always spent more money than just about any other basketball program, and the media overwhelmingly says that trend continues in the NIL era.

I hope we have a good team this year and Pope gets things turned around, but these preemptive excuses drive me crazy. Clearly Kentucky is a big money NIL school for basketball, let's just own it.

I agree with you completely! Kentucky basketball is no longer elite and hasn't been for about a decade. All these "fans" that think if Kentucky isn't a national contender then they are failing are doing the school and the program a disservice. We need to be happy with being top 25 because that is where our ceiling is now.

I cant imagine why anyone would "denigrate Pope for being Mormon" Doesn't make sense to me. My point, that you missed again, is that posters with opposite views are called many different names. My family was Mormon, I converted to Catholicism.
