This is an honest question, no disrespect intended. Not medaling seems pretty normal for USA greco teams (not counting competitions against just teams from the Americas), but going 11-10 in world competition is that an average outcome or a better than usual outcome? I usually just follow the greco results with a glancing interest. However it appears to me we might be making strides.

GR was getting better and there are a few decent U17 who may opt for GR but U20 really struggled.

The biggest issue is that Northern Michigan is dropping GR in June of 2027. US GR is going to go from awful to lucky to win a match at U20 and up. If a kid wants to train GR year round and get a college degree, their options are going to be extremely limited. They'd almost have to be able to afford one of the NYC schools and train at the NYAC in order to get GR coaching.

Looking for a strong start with the palate-cleansing freestyle today. Leydecker, Welker, Mir and Turner should be fine. Janiak has a Japanese wrestler. Bella Mir will be challenged but should prevail.

Kylie Welker owned the circle, owned the mat, 2nd period tech fall 11-0.

Nigerian wrestler on Mat A is so jacked. It looks like the Mongolian wrestler is afraid of her.

Everest Leydecker with the first period tech fall 10-0. She had her opponent in many odd configurations.

Alexis Janiak has lost to her Japanese opponent 9-2. Getting pulled back in is looking good, though.

Bella Mir has won 10-2. Every time her opponent had her leg, she got out of it and sometimes ended up on top for a takedown.

Morgan Turner has pinned her opponent in the first period.

Janiak has been eliminated - her Japanese opponent has lost.

Morgan Turner has tech falled her quarterfinal opponent to go into semifinals. Big throw finish.

With some takedowns and finishing with some leg laces, Leydecker wins her quarterfinal 11-0 to go into semifinals.

Bella Mir has lost her quarterfinal to a Japanese opponent 8-5 in a highly entertaining match. Repechage predicted.

Had to replay Kylie Welker, she pinned her opponent in a little over a minute to go into semifinals.

My new favorite non-USA women's wrestler from Nigeria was up 9-0, then got caught in a takedown and many, many leg laces to lose 20-9. Kylie Welker will face the Russian wrestler, Silina, in the semis.

So, a takedown and 9 rolls in a single leg lace to lose?

Morgan Turner has lost her semifinal and will wrestle for bronze. There was some fuss about her fingers in the opponent's mouth.

Everest Leydecker has lost her semifinal by being pinned, will wrestle for bronze. It looked like her shoulder was on the mat for hundreths of a second. I'm surprised there was not a challenge.

The wrestler Bella Mir lost to has lost her semi-final. She is eliminated. @Coastal2 STOP WATCHING!!!

Kylie Welker has won her semifinal 11-0 and will wrestle for gold.

Taylor Graveman has lost her qualification match 6-6 by criteria. Her opponent appeared to complain of an injury, so repechage is in doubt.

Adaugo Nwachukwu looks strong as she tech falls her opponent 10-0 to go to r16.
Not as distracting as a door constantly being opened and closed, but the roulette wheel graphic is unnecessary. I get that it is Vegas and all, but still.

Cristelle Rodriguez-Dobler has won her match 6-2. She is in quarterfinals.

Missed it, but checking brackets, Sara Sterner has lost her r16 match to Chavez of Mexico 5-0.

Adaugo Nwachukwu has tech falled her opponent to go to quarterfinals.

Cristelle Rodriguez-Dobler has won her quarterfinal 11-2 to go to semis.

Chavez has won, Sara Sterner still eligible for repechage.

Nwachukwu has tech falled her opponent 11-0 to go to semis.

Reece Larramendy has won her only match so far, a quarterfinal, 6-4 to go to semis.

Taylor Graveman has been eliminated. The opponent she lost to lost her match 11-10.
