Hope its nothing serious and he heals quickly.

The injury woes follow our players even post UK too.

[Johnnie Africa]

Aaaah that sucks hope nothing serious

That could likely end Oweh's career.

I read a report that said he immediately grabbed the back of his ankle, signifying a potential Achilles injury. If he ruptured it, he's out for a year. He had signed a one-year contract, although he wasn't guaranteed a spot on the Thunder's final roster.

The Thunder could pay him for the year and release him. More likely they'll keep him on the payroll providing medical assistance. Regardless, the odds of him making an NBA team a year from now are slim.

Heartbreaking.

Damn man we can’t even have our guys be healthy in the pros anymore. Prayers to my dude 00.

Must be Pope’s fault.

Who would think that staying in college would’ve made him so much more money and would have been the safer options? Players will see these situations and look at them different lens now.

[Fawrules]

Absolutely hate it for him. Hopefully he can prove to be an outlier case as an achilles tear seems to be a career killer for most athletes.
Going to be an uphill battle, especially for a guy who was already viewed as a fringe NBA prospect going in.

Thoughts prayers his way, he was a UK warrior.

Dragged us across the finish line in a lot of games the last two years. And had one of the most memorable single game tourney performances in our programs history. Too bad we didn’t show up against Iowa State.
