The betting line wouldn't change much. But that will most likely end up being hypothetical.

I'm doubting KF will divulge much info before game time.

But if he were to announce Brown starts on Tuesday, I don't think it will bring the line down (assuming Iowa's favored). I don't think anyone is in a hurry to bet on Minnesota, either way. And I don't think people are going to bet against Iowa, just based on Brown playing.

People could be more interested in betting Iowa should Heck be named on Tues. But if it's Heck, I really don't think it will be announced on Tuesday.

But even if it were, I don't think the line would go up much. It would be, almost entirely, smaller public money choosing to bet Iowa based on the qb. The larger sharp money, that moves lines, wants to have what they project to be a least a couple points worth of edge vs the line. So if they're interested in Iowa, it will likely be regardless of qb

Take away the 3 points given to the home team. On a neutral field Iowa is at least a 10 point favorite. The line will settle from -6.5 to -7.5. I like it a lot under -7, over -7 and on the road against a rival, not so much.

I'm going to give Old a little break on this one, though. He's been a little scattered in this thread. And there was a 2025 line posted earlier, and I think he was just trying to be helpful in clarifying.

But yes, he didn't take the time to realize the new spread in the your post Poor reading also very common here.

But Old does a good job, and is never pretentious. So I think he gets a pass on this one
