Obviously, he doesn't come close to Kmario, and not not many QBs do, but I know very little about our backup QB. If and he has to step up and play at some point in the season, would he at least be able to somewhat keep us in the game?
I honestly didn't believe Puckett was the real #2 until he came in vs Alabama.I really hope we didn't pay AJ Swann and Jaden Rashada very much money to come here. One has starting experience and the other was a former 5 star that everybody wanted. They come here and get beat out by the Prep kid
Josh Riddell says helloI am a child of the Croom era, and also lived through 2023 with Mike Wright starting half our games….
Show me your worst, Billy Pisgah. Nowhere to go but up.
(I hope your foot is feeling better today, Kamario).
henigWho was the QB 20+ years ago whose family had fur coat stores in AL?
cerebral...he did run for some yards so maybe he's not totally immobile"gritty, smart game-manager"

Not anymore! If he starts that is.Always the best player on our team***

I guess they left blue collar off because he went to prep, not because he's at State...*"gritty, smart game-manager"

Yeah but, this is State. Just saying.I recall hearing early last year that OM had issues if Simmons went down because their #2 had never played a down of FBS ball. Just saying.
Call me crazy, but I don't think the environment will be a huge issue. 11 am in baton rouge after they just lost to KY, and no time to tailgate and cook gumbo and corndogs? It will not be well attended is my guess.Billy can spin it, has some athleticism/mobility, & doesn't lack in the confidence dept, but he is smallish. I'm more concerned with his ability to run the O & read the defense in the environment he's about to face.
Another thing is he didn't turn the ball over much in HS. Maybe he'll take care of the football.
Just our luck though. If we had all of our starters I believe we'd smoke LSU.

Nerves is my concern & his deep ball ability. He made some good throws against Bama. He stood & hung in a few times including the drop by Johnson.I assumed the opposite is true, hence his QB #2 status.
Same. I thought for sure one of the other two was gonna come in against Bama.I honestly didn't believe Puckett was the real #2 until he came in vs Alabama.
As to the original poster's question. 6'0" and 180 lbs. Walkon not rated out of high school. Good kid and a tough guy. But he's way out of his league if he has to take meaningful snaps.
hahahahha they really said Puckett: White QB. White QB. White QB.
Last time 15 started in Death Valley it worked out well….View attachment 1482225
LSU doesn’t know what’s about to hit them!
Rob & Brett Morgan were QBs, Josh was a safety. Rob played some behind Matt Wyatt in 1996 & 1997.Josh Morgan was a tough as nails QB that was very serviceable and played well when called on.
Dont remember if he started a SEC game on the road though - has been a few years since then.
He gives me Mike Henig vibes.I honestly didn't believe Puckett was the real #2 until he came in vs Alabama.

Bothwell almost as important as Taylor. But if both play & are reasonably healthy, we’ve definitely got a chance to win.IMO, if Kamario plays, State beats LSU. If not, it’s a loss. Really surprised that Swann isn’t the #2.
He gives me Mike Henig vibes.
I hope he turns out to be the next Tom Brady, though...seems a long shot.
