We’re probably going to be the higher ranked team in Tiger Stadium

Who knows. But, it’s Lebby’s job to have a bare minimum of two QB’s who can be serviceable enough for us to compete and win games that are winnable. And an 11 AM game at Tiger Stadium against a 3-2 and likely unranked LSU team is a winnable game.

No excuses whatsoever if we go out there and lay an egg due to terrible QB play. So, hopefully Puckett out there with the 1’s is at least similar to Shapen.
Lebby has done some good things and some very not good things. Backup QB is one thing he's 17ed up for 2 years running now. Grossly overpaid for a 3rd string QB last year and has a 1* walkon from Prep as his #2 this year. I really hope this doesn't cost us several wins this fall.

Well i too have had some conversations with those in the know and right now it’s still in the air. Lots and I mean lots of rumors going around about things that did or didn’t happen this week or what certain players said at a HS game Friday…
Based on what I can say is no decision to play or not to play has been made.
Thanks, Baghdad Bob.

Puckett doesnt have 25% the talent of Shapen. Stop kidding yourself. If we seriously play a 1 star QB from a white boy academy then we may as well forfeit

I don't believe he had anything other than maybe soreness or slight hamstring to start the Bama game. This play right here, says enough to me. He avoided the rush, sprinted ... threw a strike.

Also all these people saying he could have ran for 20-30 yards. Nope. Bama had 7 spying, 5 near and the DBs around the play.

With all that said, he could aggravated something during the game. But I did notice he walked off the field (no limp) after the 3rd and came back to the field albeit in a boot but didn't seem to be in pain when he was walking around the field congratulating Russell post game

He looked to be running very gingerly on that foot in that play.

I’m not saying Puckett is great, but from what I can tell he knows the offense and is accurate. Who knows how his decision making is?

While his QB skill set is at least questionable, the thing about him that’s just as concerning is his 180 lb frame. To put it in perspective, K1 and Fluff are both 230 lb

I guess we’ll see what happens, but if Puckett starts against LSU and Fluff is still limited, I’m expecting this game to be over before halftime

He’s a tough guy. But the fact he’s apparently our #2 QB is a huge red flag.

Putting up stats against Pillow Academy is just a bit different that Alabama and LSU. If he’s really the best we got them may as well just concede the season

I'm going to respectfully disagree with this. Now, I also "watch" from a distance......but Puckett has some "GRIT" to him and most definitely has put the work in.

I think Puckett is capable of keeping us in the fight

Go 17 yourself douchebag. Just reporting what has been told to me because everyone is bitching about info and then when someone does you get a response like this. So again, go get 17’ed
You’re good. These are just sensitive situations. A lot of people getting info from crazy uncles off of Facebook, and that’s not to say you did but people can’t discern weather or not you did. Everybody thinks they know something, I’m sure your source was 1000% confident, maybe you are 900% confident. Who t 17 knows. That, and everyone’s excited.

So did KT have the big and pinky toe amputated or just the pinky? My source wasn’t sure. X-rays weren’t clear.

We are not winning in BR boys. Better prep your minds now

Need to start prepping for OU
Not only that, but if Fluff and K1 aren’t ready to go after a full week off, you have to start questioning how healthy they’re going to be for the rest of the season.

I’ve got a very uneasy feeling about all of this, and I think the majority of our fanbase is in some phase of denial right now

He’s got grit for days. But he’s not even close to being an SEC QB talent. I hope I’m wrong.
I hope you are wrong as well!!

BUT.....I understand why you would think the way you do, so can't blame you for saying it out loud

I, however, can see him being a serviceable QB in a SEC environment.....as long as a running game can keep the D in check, and we can open up space for the short throw

Am I missing sarcasm? Or did you post the wrong play? He wasn't sprinting. Hard to say whether it's because he was hurt or just because he was trying to keep his head up and eyes down field. And then he threw a weak pass that got intercepted. Again, hard to say whether that was because his foot was bothering him or because he just didn't see the second defender and didn't think he needed to throw a rocket there.

People see what they want to see in order to fit their narrative. State fans want him to have been hurt to explain the slow start and not running the ball.

Alabama has the biggest fastest defense he has seen to date. That had far more to do with the performance.... and our defense was on skates.

I'm betting he plays this weekend.

When you play level or better competition than Mississippi State and Kentucky, yes. Alabama was supposed to win. They were averaging 50 points a game against SEC teams. They may not lose again but UGA showed any solid defense left on Bama’s schedule the recipe.
Bama and Georgia are evenly matched teams. I'm not exactly sure what you think got exposed. It was a game that went down to the wire and really could've gone either way.

Not necessarily so; it all depends on the severity.
The severity only gets worse if you add further stress to it by running / shifting on the foot in question. Again, if it really is turf toe, it won’t be healed this season, and it strictly boils down to pain tolerance for KT on a week-to-week basis.

And if it gets fully healed in 2 weeks, it isn’t turf toe. Not possible.

I mean, maybe. But the question still stands. How would that play tell you he's not injured? He's not sprinting and he threw a bad pass. Doesn't seem to provide any evidence one way or the other.
