Another solid week for the hawks to pick up a few spots in the polls

Not jumping
Indy vs OSU
ND vs BYU (unless it's a blow out for ND)

Pick up a spot
Mississippi State vs LSU (assuming MSU drops this one)
Alabama vs Tennessee (assuming UT drops)
Missouri vs Ole Miss (should be automatic jump)

Possible (Jekyll and Hyde type situations)
Kentucky vs Oklahoma
Florida vs Texas

Not sure what you mean about “sit back”. I wouldn’t assume any remaining game as a likely win. Nevertheless, the Washington road win puts the Hawks in a good position to make a run for a playoff spot.

The polls right now are meaningless except for maybe getting prime TV slots (not like the supposed 8 pm Pacific time start for the upcoming NEbby oregon game) but the 2:30 and 6 pm primetime slots.

The polls right now are meaningless except for maybe getting prime TV slots (not like the supposed 8 pm Pacific time start for the upcoming NEbby oregon game) but the 2:30 and 6 pm primetime slots.

Not really, at least real quick. When does the first CFP poll come out? They aren't gospel but the poll is one factor by 6 or 7 games in. Edit: the first release is Nov 3rd, so we have a couple of weeks yet.

There are currently 9 SEC teams in the top 20. Want to guess how many will be in the top 20 when BCS rankings come out? I'll go with 8. There's polling inertia that will favor the SEC when it comes time to select playoff teams.

This year is going to be one of those years where teams with multiple losses make the CFP and the national championship game likely features both teams and each have at least 1 loss.
