It's a fact that I told you. Early onset dementia???

For the last time I'm a telecom engineer and I work at night.
Cool, I've done that job. Had engineer in my title many times. Do you work in a NOC? I've done that too, deployed router systems to remote locations and setup monitoring for them. Is this what you do?

Let’s just be honest with ourselves

The world and President Trump and the administration are miles ahead of us dudes on this website arguing and debating stuff we know little about other than the top dressing

There are so much going on behind the scenes and ongoing discussions it becomes laughable when someone comes up with the accusations about people of either side of politics.

What is really disappointing is the people on here who make a grand statement declaring it to be the
absolute truth according to them when there is ZERO EVIDENCE to support their claims

They think they are so important that their proclamation in saying a lie makes it the truth because they are so holy in their beliefs and passion in there position

This dude I am trading a few comments is a hanging debater

Everyone is guilty of everything he says because he is Immaculately and Devinely Selected that his words are sent from his Diety to Proclaim to the World the TRUTH

Sorry dude you are living in your fantasy bubble
You must have been living on a different planet the last decade if you believe Trump listens to experts who have more information than he does, lol. See Elections(2020)

Small correction for your post....when you say "no evidence" you're only partially correct. Normally when so adamant about their position, they post another post from somewhere by a person who agrees with their position as "proof" of accuracy. So one person who knows little, as you described, becomes the "expert" that solidifies the opinion of someone else who knows just about as little...

@baltimorened

I accept your point as when I say no evidence I am being sweepingly broad as both Democrat and Republican and even the Trump administration have smoke and questionable actions that need people to question and vet

Your response puts into closer focus of not yet laser focused but more focused that most of the wild extravagant claims are just gossip and rumor and not verified fact

Even I can fall victim to inuendo but in our debates we need to be clear about hard truth and wanna be fake truth

This site has its share like all sites of those who want the truth to match their narrative

I try to stay in my lane of following the facts where they take us and you are one who does that in spite of being one of the swimming upstream fact salmons with hurrican e headwinds demanding we believe the words written without substance

At the moment still recovering from several major and minor operations and trying to devote more time to my health family and grands but getting much better

Spending my recuperation time reflecting on my purpose in life going forward as well as setting some goals as there is a lot less runway for me at 75 instead of being 15

At this momentlike sitting out the political bedlam as I am a little weary of the chaos and will just prefer to wait till the cake is baked and we start the new round of chaos

Have a good day and thanks for adding to my response

Russia is currently a DIESEL IMPORTER.

How does the deal Trump is pushing supposed to help?

Seems like it ONLY helps the Russian war effort.

Fact-checking the above claim with Gemini...

Yes, that claim is accurate.

Sustained Ukrainian drone campaigns targeting Russian oil refineries severely disrupted domestic processing and refined product output.

Consequently, Russia's internal refining capacity was crippled, forcing the country to face severe fuel shortages, implement rationing, ban exports, and resort to importing diesel fuel from neighbors to meet internal logistical and military demands.

POTUS confirms that Putin wants to make a deal more than Zelensky.

Why won’t Zelensky take a peace deal? Because Zelensky and his handlers are covering up unfathomable levels of criminality in Ukraine. It’s a Deep State racketeering playground.

You’ll notice the MSM are cranking up the Ukrainian propaganda, and are trying to re-establish the narrative that Russia is this big bad boogeyman, and that Ukraine is just this innocent nation defending its sovereignty.

They are desperate to maintain the illusion that Ukraine and Zelensky are completely innocent, because they are desperate to cover up their criminality in Ukraine.

Zelensky is pretending that he wants peace. In reality, he wants the war to go on forever, because as soon as the war ends, Zelensky and his handlers are dead. The only way Zelensky and his handlers survive, is if the war continues, Russia is eventually defeated, and Trump is no longer in office.

How stupid of you not to understand that a deal would involve Ukraine handing Russia 1/5th of their country and not because Ukraine did anything to provoke that land grab but just because Russia wants it. The war would end immediately if Russia packed up and left so how dare you and your bots blame Ukraine.

There’s no conspiracy - the Iran War caused the spike in diesel prices. Are you so brain dead that you can’t read a graph of diesel prices and the key dates of the Russia/Ukraine and Iran wars at the same time?

Damn dude you are so pathetic in how you support Trump over American interests (and also basic human decency). You’re not a man, you’re a fanboy coward.

The problem is that Russia cannot meet those numbers. They are currently experiencing diesel shortages and have an export ban on diesel.

Let's assume they rescind the diesel ban. Where are they getting the diesel Trump says they will send to us?

It might be cheaper to ship Russian diesel to our west coast than to ship US diesel from the gulf. In part due to the Jones Act - which requires intra-US shipping to go by US-made, US-crewed ships.

But even if that's what the con is, it still doesn't explain where Russia is going to come up with the diesel to send us?

Fact checking with Claude

Note that even if we get that diesel, the first tranche represents only 1.5 days worth of US demand.

[My question to Claude: Trump is claiming that Russia will be shipping us 300,000 to 3,000,000 tons of diesel over the next several months. Is that even possible? I thought Russia was experiencing its own diesel shortage, and had even imposed a diesel export ban. Also, are those meaningful amounts?]
___________________________________________________

You're right on both counts: Russia has a diesel shortage and an export ban, so the headline numbers look more like a political announcement than a supply plan.

What Trump announced

His post, per AP, promised more than 300,000 tons immediately, another 500,000 tons in November, 1 million tons right after that, and 3 million more "within a short period of time." That's roughly 4.8 million tons in total, not a range of 300,000 to 3 million. Treasury issued a temporary license for Russian diesel, which Reuters reports runs until April 7. The AP noted the White House didn't say who is paying or when the fuel would be available.

Can Russia deliver?

Russia does have a shortage and an export ban, and the evidence is strong:
  • Drone strikes knocked out three of Russia's six largest diesel-producing refineries in September.
  • Russia banned producer diesel exports on July 8 and is extending the ban through October. Non-producer exporters face limits through January 31, 2027.
  • Russia has begun importing fuel itself.
  • Analysts told the Washington Post that Russia had stopped exporting diesel to save fuel for its war effort.
  • Trump himself reportedly tied the later volumes to the condition of Russian refineries.

So the first 300,000 tons is plausible, since the export ban can be lifted by decree. The later tranches depend on refineries being repaired and on Ukraine not hitting them again, and that is not something Moscow or Washington controls.

Are the amounts meaningful?

Barrel figures below are my conversion at about 7.5 barrels per metric ton. The US demand figure is my own approximation, not from the articles.

TrancheTonsApprox. barrelsContext
First300,000~2.2MAbout 1.5 days of US diesel exports, per Reuters
November500,000~3.7M
Next1,000,000~7.5M
Last3,000,000~22M
Total~4.8M~36MRoughly 9 days of US distillate demand (about 4M b/d)

Compared with Russia's own normal flows:
  • Diesel exports ran about 2.5 million tons a month a year ago, falling below 1 million tons in June.
  • Pre-crisis, Russia exported 900,000 to 1 million barrels a day of diesel and gasoil.

Spread over the months it would take to ship, 4.8 million tons is a small slice of what Russia exported in normal times. Commodity analyst Rory Johnston said the deal amounts to very little for that reason.

Diesel is traded globally, so even if Russia ships it, it only helps US prices by adding to world supply, and it adds little to that. Diesel is at $6.28 a gallon nationally per AAA, and the shortfall is driven by both the Russian refinery damage and reduced Persian Gulf product flows. A few million tons won't close that gap.

I haven't found any primary source, like a Kremlin statement or contract details, confirming volumes or buyers. Dmitriev only reposted the Treasury announcement, so what we have is Trump's post and the Treasury license.

Now that Donnie has re-assured Vlad of his love, Russia gets bolder and the war seems to be spreading.

One was Ukrainian but the other was not.
  • HS Dignity: Guinea-Bissau-flagged cargo ship. It sank after being struck; 11 of its crew (mostly Syrians, one Egyptian) were reported missing, with a smaller number rescued.
Both attacks occurred in the Black Sea off the Bulgarian coast (in or near Bulgaria’s exclusive economic zone), which is why Bulgarian authorities responded (including summoning the Russian ambassador). The ships themselves were foreign-flagged/owned merchant vessels, not Bulgarian.

This is exactly the point of Trump making a trade deal for Russian diesel fuel.

Zelensky defied Trump for the sake of the EU and NATO.

He FA and now he FO.

Now Trump places Zelensky in a box.
Attack the diesel refineries shipping oil to America and Trump allows Putin to truly take the gloves off.

What does that mean.

Headhunting is how Trump handles obstinate and uncooperative leaders.

Do you think Zelensky is safe?

The only reason Zelensky is still alive is because Trump and Putin don’t want to escalate the war.
But if Zelensky thinks he can continue to keep this war going and take out more energy supply from Russia, his protection will be gone.

Tick Tock Zelensky.

Make your choice.

he actually told both Russia and Ukraine to stop doing that, and they both continue doing it anyway. So the then rewarded Russia by buying their oil. so take this argument and stick it up your ***.

I work virtual office but in a noc environment. Mostly me and a lot of offshore support.
Thats cool, I used to support a ton of companies from our NOC. I was a noc tech for about 3 years and went into software development for the same company yadda yadda yadda I work for different company now.
As I recall I was making about 35k in 2007 starting out as a NOC technician. I hit the ceiling there at 50k in 2009. Adjusted for inflation that would be 75k today. Hope your getting a fair market compensation.

If you are an actual Network engineer with Cisco or whatever certs you should be making much more.
