From the article:

But, as I’ve written a few times now, the Texas offense left a lot to be desired.

A lot of that falls on Arch Manning — and he did throw two picks in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s loss to Oklahoma — but Steve Sarkisian deserves a good portion of the blame, too. Texas has the highest three-and-out rate in the SEC (and is tied for second nationally), which speaks to the inconsistency of the Longhorns’ offense.

Like Cignetti, he’d repeatedly won with less. He knew how to identify and develop talent. He knew how to build a winning culture. And he brought a couple of key players (like Wayne Knight) and most of his staff with him to Westwood. Chesney even brought his dad — his secret weapon — to help instill the culture and ensure good vibes. And, yes, the vibes are fabulous, especially after a monster win at Oregon that proved that UCLA is more than just a great story.

This is a great, creative offense that can hang with — or beat — teams with far more talent than the Bruins have.

LSU got way too much credit for a blowout win over a mediocre team, which then led to Ole Miss getting way too much credit for beating LSU, and Florida getting way too much credit for beating Ole Miss. I blame Clemson for the SEC’s game of musical chairs.

End of UMass game led off CFF highlights show…posted earlier in the thread Watson was out but looks like they got down to their 3rd string qb. Not a fan of the 2 point call and not just because it failed.

At the end of CFF highlights show, Galloway was going through UCLA’s schedule talking about how it’s doable they could make the B10 championship game.

I had mentioned in the 24 team playoff thread how it can give hope to so many schools and UCLA is talked about as a dark horse team for a 12 team playoff this year let alone 24.

The B10 champ game didn’t even cross my mind but yea I guess if they ran the table it’s possible because IU OSU play each other next week.

Who knows if they will do it and it probably depends on how long Nico is out too (backup played 2nd half again Oregon) but regardless it’s just another example of how real hope is these days for any team in a given year. Think how dysfunctional UCLA has been recently and now all the hopes they have and goals that seem possible.

That looked like a play we would run on 4th and 1. Everyone on D coming down hill and you run a slow developing reverse? Write that one down Captain Kirk, you just found your new 4th down play to go with the slow mesh. This game is really not that hard to figure out but certain people have to make it so.

UMASS SUCKS
Any B1G team would crush them by at least 21 points….ahhh except one.

I was out of commission most of the weekend doing training.

Did Lanning complain during the game?
I think the ref actually explained it correctly to the crowd and said placed on the half yard liine half the distance from the end of the run. But then they placed it at the 1.5yd line half the distance from the 3 where you take two point tries. Both Lanning and Chesney were politicking the refs so I’m not sure what happened.

I get it, lol, but my point still stands. Remember Uncle Eli threw a lot of bad interceptions in his day, as a Giants fan I saw every single one of them, but he also won 2 Super Bowls and 2 Super Bowl MVP awards 🤷🏻‍♂️

Time will certainly tell where he lands - regardless I hope he goes to a franchise that will give him time to grow and mature, instead of expecting him to produce immediately.

Which is exactly what the Giants did with Eli.

5-1 Nebraska (beat 2 B1G teams) still can't get ranked after giving Indiana a game Cigs said was so hard they were all exhausted at the end.
Indiana moved up to 4th in coaches poll and 5th in AP.
I guess voters have a peeve about Neb

Chip Kelly making a difference. Kevin Decker (a name I’ve brought up as potential OC) at Memphis too.

NW might be cut off since it’s way over on the top right. Same for Memphis in the G6.

I think the Freshman DJ Bordeaux might be the UCLA QB starter job .

Ty Dieffenbach didn't show Power 4 talent last year: >was the starting quarterback at Cal Poly in 2025, throwing for 1,305 yards and nine touchdowns on 92-for-162 passing. … added 321 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 67 carries<

Deifenbach came in for Nico so I assume he’s the backup.
