Losing 20-7 at half at home to a mid Illinois team and their best player is out for the season. Need to be the hell out of that fat loser and his Spartans.

The Spartans just coughed up the ball again. Agree they look really bad. It’s not a great feeling getting beat up week after week. Illinois totally dominating. Fitz leading a downtrodden program that doesn’t look like it is going anywhere.

update: Spartans looking stronger now esp on the run. Lots of Spartan injuries on defense. They are hanging in there in spite of all the db players getting knocked out.

We are going to need a first string secondary back for the rest of the Big Ten season. Walters, Turner and Fussell are missed, even as the backups have performed fairly well.

Fitz's guys get it to OT, score the tying TD to get to the 2nd OT, then try the 2pt conversion for the win, and fail!

They can stew on that for a week.
I think the 2 pt conversion msu ran was the same play NU ran against Auburn in the Outback bowl. Different result.

The Spartans will not be an easy out. They shot themselves in the foot repeatedly and were on the wrong side of a few bad calls. Cats need to bring it.

Bret the football genius had the game in the bag, up 31-24 with 2 min to go, but he went for it on 4th & 1 from his own 30 (approx). Guess he has little confidence in his D or his punter.

Plucky comeback for the Sparty Fitzes, but we should still handle that team for sure
Think Fitz benefited from their QB getting knocked out of the game. Bert went conservative as soon as that happened.

Looks like the Illini QB is out for the year with a busted hand. Go ahead and write that as a W in Sharpie. They lost their RB1 for the year already. They’re deader than disco.

He fired his DC after what, 3 games? I think the D know what he thinks of them

No let downs and we should be fine, unless we get injuries. Feel bad for the Illini though, although it helps us a great deal to get the Lincoln trophy back!!! We stay healthy and this could be a very special season!!! If we stay healthy, I say we have a great shot at taking down the Ducks in Eugene, as long as the time change doesn't mess with the fellas!

Not sure what you are replying to but Houser started today and hurt his hand. He finished the game in street clothes and the backup finished the game.
Sorry I misread your post. I thought you were talking about the MSU QB

Bummer for Houser, I’m sure he was enjoying taking a beating to his old team. Seemed like the game flipped when he left

I think a lot depends which Ducks QB is playing.
