I fully understand the Kings being cautious with Keegan, Monk, Simmons, and Domas, but I hope to see them in action next game. They need to get into actual game competition so they can get into a game flow playing with one another vs real competition.

Gonna be a difficult year for Sac, but it will be good to see the youngsters develop.

8 min for Keegan. 9 minutes for Simmons. Monk hasn't even seen the floor. Sabonis no action either.

In the 2nd quarter. Kings down 17. Keegan slowly working to get back to game shape, with 8 pts so far.

Thankfully, the first half comes to a merciful end. Kings were 28%/17%/55% from the line. Keegan was 4-11 and 3 rebounds for 10 points.
Score 66-39 Portland.

Here's James Ham, Kings Insider and host of the "Locked On Kings" podcast. From what I've seen from them so far, is that they appear to be playing in "Drop" at times, and many of the made 3's are the result of late closeouts. I'm also seeing what appears to be missed communication in there as well, resulting in not switching on defense, allowing the opponent to locate for a 3.

as we near opening day for NBA, keeping an eye on the Grizzlies as they have some decisions to make on a plethora of wings. Kris is one that may get traded or waived possibly.

There's always been a few nuggets as to him joining Keegan. Reckon that'll continue.

End of the 1st quarter. Spurs leading 42-18. That's not a typo. Keegan with a 3.
I had to turn it off. Not sure if I can stomach watching much Kings this year... it's really bad basketball

Watching the little kids play at halftime of the Grizzlies game is more entertaining

I mean, all things considered, you'd expect more than this wouldn't you? I know I do. Keegan 1-5 and 1 rebound. 10-3 Spurs lead in OB's. 11 TO's for the Kings. Nothing resembling defense, even though Doug Christie has said multiple times, "I want the other team to feel us." Really? If things go as predicted for this team, I suspect Doug won't be the HC for another full year.

I don't think he makes it to the end of this year

I don't know how you do it, even with multi-view lol.
i have my office setup where I have TV and then dual monitor setup with large screens so I can watch games on both screens as well.

or sometimes I'll be in the garage where I have 2 TV's and a projector setup. That's mostly Saturday/Sundays

Kings winless in Pre-Season play 0-5. These preseason games mean nothing, record and stat-wise. However, it is the time to develop chemistry, establish rotations, and have players ready to open the regular season. Based on what I've seen, it's going to be a long season for them.

What soulless existence coaching modern nba basketball. Grade school would be more rewarding.
Only 30 head coaching jobs in the NBA...rare air.
Nick Nurse of Carroll Kuemper seems to thrive in it and still is in touch with his Iowa Catholic roots....believe he has a soul.

It's actually more of a pure coaching job than in college ball these days of 365 day recruitment/ sales job environment.
If a coach is deep into pure x's and o's, NBA is where it's at.
Ben is more of a developmental guy that is seeking to make better adults and players.
He seems like a college guy.
