I agree. My fear with Mitchell (and I would love to still have him) was that the team would be focused with him in the offense and that at some point he would be ruled ineligible. Causing major disruption, which we do not need.I was as ecstatic as everyone else when it briefly looked like Kentucky was adding Mark Mitchell. I didn't disagree with those in the national media and on this board saying it made Kentucky a Top Ten or so team, pre-season.
But part of me even then wondered if the gap was all that great between Mitchell and the other options at four: N'Diaye, whose clips playing high level Euro League ball had blown me away, plus McBride, who also looked really impressive in clips.
Obviously, I'd take Mitchell back in a heartbeat. But no use crying over what might have been.
Mitchell would have been great but he was going to alter the pace at which Kentucky played, and alter the focus of the offense from the perimeter to the paint. Maybe the Cats will play faster now, get up a higher volume of 3-point shots, and build an identity fitted to the personnel more than built around Mitchell.
I know how this will be derided by the usual suspects on this board. I guess we'll have to wait and see if N'Diaye is a giant bust or a very nice fit for the style and pace for which this team is best suited to play with Diallo, Wilkins and Momcilovic on the wings and a mobile center in Moreno.
Yeah it’s interesting how few people were tracking on this. Could have been a major blow to the season.Of course eligibility was a concern. Makes me wonder if Mitchell was added insurance in case Uzi was ruled ineligible to play. Clearly, you take a talent like Mitchell regardless, but still.
I read about this right after he signed and have been low key worried it would be yet another shoe to drop so everybody minus at least one.Everybody already thought he was eligible

Lmfao cool story, troll. Why don’t you do everyone a favor and get the **** off this Kentucky board and go over to U6, where you belong. They weren't trying to get Mark Mitchell as "added insurance."
Holy lord you're so f'n dumb man. It's equally fascinating and frustrating. God I hope you don't vote.
Make that at least two. Hell, this was said from the very beginning.I read about this right after he signed and have been low key worried it would be yet another shoe to drop so everybody minus at least one.

I'll leave the board as soon as you take an IQ test and post the results.
I'm putting the O/U at 86.
Intentional btw newb, been down that roadIt's spelled Chattanooga btw.
Your low troll IQ speaks volume. Btw, who's your team? Expose yourself newb.
I do think Ndaiye has a chance to be a good college player. Doubt he’s Mark Mitchell, but he can be good enough hopefully. I do like McBride’s game too off the bench. We will see if how they translate and if it’s enough. The pre-season cope has begun.
I want to marry a real bad boy!!!!
Just as I expected.I'm a loser UL fan and hate UK.
