What's the reality in Ramseur?

If we're talking about the Eastern Randolph Wildcats football team, I think the fair answer is: it's too early to call them cursed, but there are some real reasons for concern.

The Wildcats have shown they can score, but the offense and defense need to become more consistent. A rough start can be fixed. A team that can't establish an identity on either side of the ball is a different concern.

I don't think they've recovered from 4th and 1 at the 2 yard line against Shelby.

Saw ER at a 7-7 this summer and they did not look as athletic as usual and I think they are kind of young from what I hear. They will pull things together and finish solid once they get into conference.

As far as the Eastern Randolph football team, they should do pretty well given some time. Preseason, as usual, was interesting. Playing a bunch of highly ranked 6A teams is hard on the record ain’t it? They did whoop Orange/blue team pretty good so that’s a season maker right there.
Big game in a couple of weeks in conference with SWR. That should tell a little about how they gonna do if they can make the playoffs…
Ok everyone makes the playoffs nowadays so…
Sorry ain’t been around much.
Promise I’ll try to do better…

They ain’t that young. Quite a few Legion baseball players missed 7 on 7s including QB.
In conference, as you mentioned, they should be fine.

Head down the road to Deep River and find out what the hell's going on at North Moore. I've read the program has forfeited one game, ended another after the third quarter, and has totally collapsed. How???? They were just back to back conference champs over Burlington Cummings for Pete's sake....

Heard a few things but not at liberty to comment just yet. Let’s just say that program possibly needs some overhauling…
What that would entail? Who knows…

Shoes? Dang it. How am I gonna get to the game if I hafta wear them? Been driving barefooted since I got behind the wheel when I turned 5!!! Yall got so many rules nowadays…
Potted meat? Boy now that’s from high on the hog ain’t it? I ain’t had potted meat since daddy used to drive to deer hunt in Sandhills. Used to put the can up on the defrost and melt that gunk down in it. Sleeve of saltines to go with and we got a party!


Wish for health for your teenagers the rest of the way. IF yall get by Lincolnton or whoever stands in the way, and ER survives the coastal plain crew, we will have to meet up somewhere.
