So far Hands down Hickory n West Iredell game is best one in the state I believe
This is a great ball game between Hickory and West
If either had anything resembling a defense It would be 3-3 LOL kidding

Hickory is some what beating themselves tonight. 2 fumbles and WI capitalzied off of one, can they do it here. wow
West Iredell is somewhat beating themselves tonight. Penalties have negated big play after big play.
Cant argue that I've seen some odd penalties too. one Questionable holding call but could be wrong

Great two weeks of football for West Iredell. Should put them in the running for the 1 seed.
Wow big win for WI. What an ending. I would had rather seen how it would of played out if Hickory hadn’t messed up

I don’t know a lot about Tuscola, but I would put my money on West Iredell, Hibriton, Burns, or Cramer (order by what I think RPI will end up) representing the West in 4A this year.
West did it again. Refs kept this close. So proud of those boys. They worked their *** off in the offseason. It’s definitely showing
Tuscola from what I understand has a back similar to Spence. Big and nasty. I dont have any connections up that way that could tell me since he took his kids out of public school. Hes a Tcola alum that I was in the army wtih for a while
Other than the big suprise in Hickory, I gotta give a shout out to my Cavs!!! HUGE upset at RS Central. Every expert, every single person in the forums as far as that game goes picked EB to lose and not only lose but lose in a blowout.
East Burke is in the talk for this playoff brackett coming up in next couple or few weeks. Obviously no threat to Hibriten or West Iredell by no stretch of the word but an honor to be in the running for 2nd in this conf when nobody picked em to even finish top 4. But hey, be an honor to see how they'd hold up at least in a WI rematch or Cramer, or Hibriten or better yet Tuscola from last years first round close one.

Craziest ending I've seen to a game in a long one. Congrats to my Warriors on yet another underdog win, and congrats to East Burke for another upset win tonight.

Morning after results who saw Newton taking BH, still close game though. I'm middle of the pack in picks now dang it. Glad North done it up, but lost on the pick.
RS Central even though the got upset by EB I wouldnt take em lightly, watched them on youtube, they got a good shifty back that gets the job done, pretty good defense too. But again no threat to the top teams but interesting to watch bout 1st round and maybe 2nd.

That 2nd mortgage was Hickory getting 21 points, not Hickory to win. I knew West could beat them, just not by 21 points at their place.
A big problem, and I am not just talking about Spence.Same. 401k is safe
However, West Iredell is a problem.

If anyone had ear to ground on the North/ Bandys game what all went on, did Agee come on healthy and break bad? Bandys make a few too many mistakes and score not really show their overall tallent? I dunno, the other games like this hadn't got talked about its all Hickory and WI

I was trying to make a joke about how “big” Spence is. They have a great ball club and happy they are doing so well. I am also agreeing with you Beamer they have way more than him!!!!!
This West Iredell team reminds me alot of East Burke 07' They were more than Shatley even though him coming toward you with the ball was alittle more to fear than Spence, and with a productive QB and defense to do all enough to keep them in big games which so far WI has that kinda package
I was not able to see the game until halftime my daughter was a part of the Homecoming court last night, and you don't come out until Halftime basically, so I escorted my daughter on to the football field. Just a proud Dad!!! I seen the end of the 2nd Qtr. of the game and the second half, I missed what happened in the first half, it’s hard to win a game with 5 turnovers smh……. Especially against a team like West Iredell, we kind of beat ourselves, as far as West Iredell concerned, they were pretty big, Amario Spence & Jaheem Jenkins traded blows all night. Spence finished the game with 127 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries that's a lot carries for high school, so I figured he'd get his numbers, and Jenkins carried the ball 19 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught three passes for 30 yards, but on to the next week preparing for East Lincoln and Jaxon Dollar next Friday. #TorandoPride

Jenkins ended up with 96 yards rushing and 2 catches. I watch most plays twice, sometimes three times, to get the facts. So those carries might have been off as well, it says 19 carries for him, and Jenkins usually get his touches, I heard, I missed a costly fumble though, I went to school with Jenkins Dad, one of our starting WR is my next door neighbor as well LOL I actually talked to Jaheem the day before the game when I was over at the school practicing and I seen him early today he seem to be okay, West haven't beat us since 2004 what is that 22 years? Bur congrats to them they brought a big crowd @CHEERDUCK give me your recap of the game, I was not able to really focus even in the second half because I was steady taking pictures, even throughout the stadium, and I had to get to my car, I even left a bit early, but next week for East Lincoln, I'll be ready, but tell me what you have seen @CHEERDUCK it will be good to hear from a Hickory fan, 35-28 is close so....... What did you feel about West Iredell? Was Amario Spence who they say he was??? What you think about Ja’Braylan Patterson? the D1 QB prospect. I heard mixed opinions on Spence, out in the crowd.
We just didn't execute well overall. West Iredell has a good defense and they took away some schemes we normally use. Combined our QB 's were 10-13 for 140 yards. Neiland was targeted on some plays when the other receivers appeared open to me. WI has a good offense and they made plays when needed. Patterson definitely has good touch on his throws down field. Spence is just a big back. He had 30 carries for 129 yard, half of his normal ypc.
We tried a fake punt on the first possession and 6000 people knew it. We turn it over to them midfield. They drive it in. We run the kickoff back to the 45, 2 plates later Jenkins goes 57 yards to their 3. We score two plays later, we're tied. We hold and force a punt on their next possession. We drive down to their 39, turn it over on downs, WI drives in another score. Weaver then returns the kickoff 82 yards for the score and we're tied at 14. We kickoff and hold them and force another punt. We had started young at QB now Everman comes in. He completes a big 3rd down slant to neiland, Then back to back throws to Neiland and Ronan almost got it in the end zone but was ruled out at the one. we run jumbo and on the first play we're stoned. The next snap Jenkins mishandled the snap and WI scooped it and returned to midfield. THIS PLAY WAS THE TURNING POINT OF THE GAME. We score we go up by 7, they ended up scoring off the fumble and it's a 14 point swing. Third qurter we outplayed them and tied it at 28. We then hold them twice but anothrt interceptoion and fumbled exchange cost us time and field position. We got the ball for one last chance at our one with 1:50 left and somehow got the ball WI's 45. 40 seconds left and 4th and 5, our QB was changing something up on the play call and our center snapped the ball. Itcaroomed back through the line where WI fell on it. That was it! West Iredell played better than us and deserved the win. The game mirrored the South Point game with 4/5 turnover disadvantage and a one score difference.
