The play calling by NP saved us athe end. I'm so confused as to why they started throwing the ball. They had an easy dub. All they had to do was run the ball, the way they had been doing all game. They would have walked it in, and we would have helped them by giving them free yards. NP should have won.

They dropped a dot wide open for a touchdown. If they could catch they win this game by 2 scores because they dropped a dot in the first half for a touchdown. Not punting that ball at the end almost cost us the game. We gave them the ball with the endzone in throwing distance. I think them being out of timeouts was the reason they felt they had to throw, looking for a 20 yarder to get closer and work the clock. Another horribly officiated game and it looked like we thought they were gonna just roll over when we went up by 2 scores. A jv player did tell me that DJ was in a boot all week and didn't practice, so he wasn't quite up to speed on his scrambles. At least we survived, and got the dub u. Have you heard what player got carted off and how bad his injury was?

I did notice they didn't put him on a backboard and the stretcher was in a reclined position and not flat so that tells me it's not a neck or back injury. Prayers for a quick recovery.

54's granddad is an old friend of mine. Hell, we played Cougar Cub football together back in the late 80's. We had the jv quarter back and a few more guys bumped up for the game tonight. One of them #20, (24 on jv) is a dog. If he hits the weights he's got potential to be a really good player for us. Not many freshmen get to play varsity at SW. He got in on one series and got a couple assist tackles. He's just a little too small to play linebacker at varsity level right now.

If they could catch, they score over 30. Each long passc attemp was a wide open drop. We got burned several times lol. They just didn't catch it. But in crunch time on the last two drives, there was nothing there. I would have run for the first, and spiked the ball. They had time, had shown that they could run uptempo. They blew the game. We were outplayed.
I didn't get to see what player that was that was injured.
