I feel D2 is the most wide open class bc no one has proved dominance nor has played the most difficult schedule
1. East Butler put #1 bc I feel they have best win vs Howells Dodge
2. Shelby played 3 solid teams and won
3. NPSP played 2 solid teams
4. HD bc they are Howells Dodge and proven to know how to win
5. Lourdes play Shelby close
6. Laurel has the athletes and skill but need to prove their ability to win
7. Loomis is here bc they have not played anyone yet but need to prove themselves

I feel the top 4 could win the championship but would not be surprised if a dark horse comes out or big upsets in the playoffs

I think Shelby wins by 3 or 4 scores tonight. East Butler is good, absolutely and I love how they are playing. But the HD Game is a bit of a mirage due to the injury.

Vrbka hurt his ankle last week and didn't return. He's a tough kid so I'm sure he will play through it. Interesting to see if that factors into anything tonight.

Brody Hubl for Hitchcock County is showing a lot of grit. He can barely jog and is breaking off 20+ yard carries. Somehow 0-6 Perkins in a shootout with 5-1 Hitchcock.

That kid is tough as hell and plays with a lot of heart. Unfortunately he is dealing with some real high ankle pain.

Like many teams this time of year, HC is dealing with some key injuries that have really been affecting the team. Almost half of their main players have had issues lately.

At full strength, HC is pretty darn good, but today showed what happens to a lot of teams when injuries happen to key players.

Good job Perkins County on getting your first win! That had to be a lot of fun putting up that many points! A bright spot in a down season.

He only played defense tonight. I went and watched the game. He played outstanding on defense with two interceptions. He almost wasn’t missed on offense. Eickmeier is the GUY. For being undersized he sure makes up for it with his hard running. I’ve watched him the last few years and I’m impressed every time. I want to say he wrestled 138 last year, he can’t weigh more than 160-170 right now.

East Butler on the other hand played solid. Very undersized/inexperienced on the line. What they lack up front they make up with an extremely athletic receiver core, and WR/QB grant Kozisek is solid. 6’4 stand out WR/DB Obbink didn’t play tonight. Either way East Butler was out manned up front. EB had a 16-14 lead at half and minimized the run game, ground and pound was too much in the second half for Shelby
