On paper, all things say Tuscola. However, I have watched the “better”, sometimes much better, team lose this game many times. We’re still getting our act together but last week looked better than the previous 4, other than just not keeping our foot on West’s throat while ahead, so hopefully that continues and we play cleaner ball again. We got a key offensive contributor back last week so that helps.

If we play cleaner ball and I objectively pick this game, I say Tuscola by 14+. If I pick with the black and red side of my heart, I say the Bears pull it together, win by 1, and break the Mounties heart.

I think Tuscola is probably the better team at this point. But. The game is in Canton. And you never know what will happen anyway.

Just my opinion here but Tuscola is clearly the better team in this one. On offense they can really get it done. It would take a flawless game by Pisgah & a lot of mistakes by Tuscola for this game to be close. I would probably go with Tuscola by 21 or more. With all that being said, it is a huge rivalry game & strange things can happen! GL to both and here’s to an injury free game. Gonna grab some popcorn and enjoy you all posting!

Where? I said I’m picking my team. And it was a hell of a game. You still eating that goose egg they gave you ain’t ya? LOL
If you lose by 9 or 38 it's still a loss .and you did say the same thing "I'm picking my team".I guessTHS is your team. Pisgah is mine .

Has Tuscola cleaned up some of its penalty issues? That seemed to be a huge thing that held them back the last couple years.

I'm hoping Pisgah can keep it close going into the 4th quarter. If they can anything can happen in a close rivalry game down the stretch. My head says they probably won't and they'll lose by a couple TDs. (or more) Hopefully my heart is right and the Bears win another classic in overtime or on a last second FG.

Seen both play multiple times this year I say big T by 14. Tuscola is fast and physical and get the job done for the most part, Pisgah started the season well but have been trending down lately from lack of discipline. Now don't get me wrong Pisgah can be a physical team at times and surprise you but I think Tuscola has a little more talent this year. Should be a fun one Friday.

Miss the days of 10+ pages on this thread.....Hopefully 32 plays for Big T and they can go into Canton and pull out the W. May be a bit of a slow start after that Franklin game last week, that was an emotional and physical game, T has to watch out for a let down game after that one.

Having to watch out to not let the Tuscola @ Pisgah game become a "let down game" is insane. As true as it might be, crazy to even read those words. Anyways, my worthless two cents and prediction... Tuscola either blows them out in a 49-7 type fashion and proves they're actually legit or Pisgah throws all chips on the table and it's a 17-14 OT slobber knocker type game going in favor of the Bears in an upset. Just a reminder, this Pisgah team is hella talented, they just can't seem to figure it all out without certain things always getting in their way, but if they do, then it could happen.

It’s interesting to read about the mistakes and cleaning things up that Pisgah needs to do. I think they committed one penalty week 1 hosting Heritage and didn’t turn the ball over. They seemed incredibly disciplined that game. Has their focus shifted?

I think Tuscola wins this ball game. They’ve got a great run game and Sam is such a talented back. I think Pisgah has struggled to stop the run all year. I don’t see that magically changing.

The issues have mainly been turnovers, both fumbles and interceptions, and that has led to the defense being put in bad positions multiple times. A lot of these have been unforced. If our offense plays clean and doesn’t put our D’s backs against the wall repeatedly the defense has played decent for the most part. Penalties have been average and not the major problem. We have thrown in a few “dumb” personal foul penalties at times that had little or nothing to do with the play but ultimately it has been protecting the ball. It started with Enka and then just carried on from there for a few weeks. Our QBs have struggled to read the defense and have thrown up multiple ill advised balls. That was 90% of the story at the Smoky Mountain game. We threw it deep into their defense all night for interceptions while they continually left receivers open underneath the coverage we just never found them. In all seriousness, if this team can learn to get out of its own way it can respectfully compete in most games, maybe not win them all but be competitive.

Good game ultimately by both sides. We had turnovers that contributed more than they should. Our defense played solid especially for some of the situations they were put in. Definitely some bend but don’t break moments on our part but mostly held the line. Tuscola D played a very good game, definitely kept us bottled up.

Our guys mustered a better performance than I was anticipating. It was good to see #2 get back on the field for us and not miss his senior season.

After reading this morning’s news and seeing the stats, a few more thoughts on the game.

First: Hats off to our defense for remotely keeping this a close game. (Tuscola 65 plays on offense for ~300yds, Pisgah 22 plays for 32yds).

Second: People will be more down on Tuscola now bc they didn’t “throttle” us but this is a very emotional, energy packed rivalry for 16-18year olds. Many kids will play college ball and not play in front of that many people in the stands. Tuscola moved the ball well most of the night, just couldn’t punch/kick it in.

Third: The loss of Hyatt at QB definitely changes Tuscola on offense. Injuries are a part of the game but it stinks when one alters a team’s ceiling. However, kudos to Hyatt for what he did on the field. A TD reception and interception while in a wrist cast is a gutsy performance.

Fourth: Bears can still use elements of this game to improve/motivate us based on how they’ve been playing. Finish strong with crisp performances against East and Brevard and hopefully get a playoff win.
