Maybe, maybe not but I don't see why he would have regrets because he did what 100% of journalists would have done with the same information. If Freeze continued at UM and did collapse the program Luke would have never been hired and Kiffin might have been hired anyway.

With that said I think UM getting such a early jump on NIL had as much or more to do with mississippi's run than hiring strange lane.
Agree with this 100% but I do give Kiffin a lot of credit for dragging the program into the current reality. I just don't think that Rosie can see past the Egg Bowl rivalry and he'd sell his soul to see the OM athletics program burn.

No he wasn't . He can shout it from the rooftops but I won't ever believe that OM had a team of record pouring over phone records and just happened to miss a call to an escort service in Tampa. Hugh fell on the sword for the Rebels and likely got paid a lot to do it.
You really think anyone looked at Hugh's phone records? Or even got them? They got a bill and paid it. Phone bills quit itemizing calls back when AT&T quit charging per minute for long distance.

I can't imagine how bad he stinks. How does one allow themselves to make this transformation AFTER getting sober?

I don't listen to his podcast anymore because I got tired of the preaching and horrible music reviews but saying he stinks based on what? His hair length and attire? How does that mean he hasn't bathed?

I can't stand ******** that love to judge others for being different and that seems to be your MO. OH, I see you a REB. You hate people that are different from what you deem as OK as a rule of law.

I spent my 20's roaming the earth at countless Phish/Dead/WSP concerts...I know all too well what wookies smell like.

I get why you say that, but nobody outside of the MSU fanbase thinks that way. OM's athletics program has been on a steep upwards trajectory since Kiffin was hired and remains a top 10 football team even after a 40 point drubbing in the Swamp...that's called respect.

ETA: it wasnt just last year...we're the 3rd best program in the SEC post-covid. Only UGA and Bama have more wins. You are what the numbers say you are.
In the old system, I looked at it like this - your 'reputation' was whatever your perception was. A 'blueblood' was a program that could win a national title. What does that mean? Well, you had to have a big enough fanbase and good enough culture to get the 4 and 5 stars consistently. Some of it was black market money, but most of it was facilities, who showed up to games, etc. And many times, until you actually won a title, you really didn't get this distinction. Consequently, those programs also attracted the best coaches. And if you went decades without winning one, your star began to fade, but still kinda in the club. Think Nebraska and Tennessee. And even Clemson, until they rose back up.

In the new era, it's still those things, but more like 50%. The other 50% is how consistently you can shell out cash. Of course, you have to remember that the perception programs can also pay less for better players. So it's definitely still a sliding scale of what certain teams have to do. As long as Ole Miss is willing to pay, they'll stay right there in that 'club' of teams who are considered good but not good enough to win a title. But I mean Indiana broke down that wall so it's easier to do now than ever before.

As to your point 2: 3rd best record during the Kiffin era. Congrats, but those days are gone. Which way would you say is that arrow pointing now, after Kiffin departed? Which way do you guess that arrow will be pointed after Trinny finally ages out?

As to your point 1: I don't blame you for clinging onto it, but literally everyone outside the olemiss fanbase sees it, you just can't see it from the inside. The fact you remained ranked that high after getting exposed by UF really only proves you were way overrated to start the year. No surprise to me. I feel like the voters will start to catch up after next week. Missouri may just give y'all fits.

But back to the original point, Rosebowl's only role in this was to expose Freeze for what he was, which happened to shine a light on the fanbase for what they are. It sounds like you are proud of that, so what's the problem? Why are you so bitter at Rosebowl?

"When Corral is gone"
"When Dart is Gone"
"When Chambliss is gone"

I'm not bitter about Rosie. I just think he is a clown.

I agree with every word of this, other than the 50% part. I don't think anything matters other than 1) payroll and 2) player evaluation and 3) luck. Ole Miss can 100% win a title, just like Indiana...and so can MSU.

Rosebowl teased on his podcast about a lid-blowing news story he was working on involving EMCC and Buddy Stephens. Hinted that it was likely to be pretty uncomfortable for a lot of people. Anybody have any idea, or rumors of what it all about?
Overall I like Rosie.

I think people who get completely sober end up being a little 'off'. Got to have something to take the edge off.

But......people with addictive personalities sure are better off sober than not. So we have to deal with a few weirdos. Who are consequently the people who file FOIs.....
I know some sober people who are 100% fine. I know some folks in sobriety who are absolutely out of their mind and it wasn’t the alcohol or drugs that made them difficult, it was the person in the mirror. Typically, even in the latter cases, a sober problematic human is better than a wasted problematic person.

Ole Miss had the ability to redact personal communications from the FOIA request. You think their team of lawyers just released all of the phone records without reviewing them first? Of course not. That number was left there on purpose.

Every call made by the 5 people on my AT&T wireless plan is itemized, I logged in and saw it yesterday. I kept seeing a 214 area code call being made a lot and finally realized it was the voice mail number

Hugh Freeze did not give up his feaux-preacher image on purpose. Zero chance of that...zilch. More likely, he was making so many nefarious calls that he lost track.

I agree, Kiffin did a fantastic job with his QBs. The guy is a great coach. A narcissistic a-hole with a personality disorder who can't function in normal society, can't handle adversity, is completely unfamiliar with empathy or class, and who your fanbase worshipped like a god right up until he left... but a great coach nonetheless.

I agree, he is a piece of **** and every fanbase celebrates their guys. Plenty of examples to go around.

He was so blinded by the fame he thought he was invincible. Story as old as time. Pride before the fall

Very true. He did a really great job at OM right up until he started bringing nascar drivers and country singers to the sidelines. He decided he wanted to be a star instead of a football coach.
