Yea that will be one to keep an eye on how it plays out.If he's looking to start for 5 years he probably doesn't come to Iowa but the family is tight time will tell

I wonder if Peter could be a 197 pounder in college? I doubt it. He could probably take a grey shirt and still get 5 years being he's wrestling U17's this year.Yea that will be one to keep an eye on how it plays out.
I believe he made the u17 cutoff by a day or 2. He won't be able to take a gap yearI wonder if Peter could be a 197 pounder in college? I doubt it. He could probably take a grey shirt and still get 5 years being he's wrestling U17's this year.
Maybe already spoken about but can you say what the plan is with Michael? I think he is on the official roster now and maybe he is alright with backing up Bk and ready to step in if needed this year but what about next year?I believe he made the u17 cutoff by a day or 2. tell all the top p4ps to go to Iowa. Be our friend.i know....wasn't a shot at you brother.
just saying it's wide open and a weird year with the rules changing.
No not in the 2027 class. In the class 2028 Calvin Rathjen is probably the best Iowa kid and I'm sure he's a big 10 kidWe all know the blue chip recruits Iowa should recruit such as Sanchez, Heeg, Hutcherson etc... but is there anyone in state that should be a must target?
One weigh in at super 32 . He's a 141Saw that Borge is seeded #2 at 132. Which I’m shocked, is he projected at 141 in college or 133? He seems like he’d be a huge 133.
Wish he took another shot at Anderson and avenge that loss at Elite 8. You think Joey will be a good size 174? Or where do you see his weight projection at?One weigh in at super 32 . He's a 141

Iowa has had 4 p4p national talent and got 0. Ross, Schwab, Crosson, and Dhabolt. I know, I know, Schwab is going with his dad, and this and that. That's 4 D1 guys who will likely have success at the next level and we got 0. We should have got 3 of those 4 guys. I'm sure Rathjen will stay clear as well.We all know the blue chip recruits Iowa should recruit such as Sanchez, Heeg, Hutcherson etc... but is there anyone in state that should be a must target?

I'm assuming you are talking about Dhabolt. He's been a top 25 kid or hire for some time. He's worthy of being considered a p4p recruit.Point of order: A ranking in the 50s is not "p4p national talent." But whiffing on 2 of the other 3 is fairly amazing. (Amazingly bad.)
I haven’t been as high on Joe as many but if he put on good weight I think his style translates much better at the upper weights. If he’s already wrestling 190 for a day before weigh in I’m assuming he’ll try to get to 97 which is crazy to think of. Ferrari will have 2 years left so 84 won’t be an option. Hopefully its some good weight, if it is I think his style would give a lot of the bigger guys problems.Just saw a post from Willie Joey Bachmann is now registered at 190 for super 32

How is he this big? This is only a 1 day weight-in event… so is 174 out the conversation? Or is he not worrying about weight right now and just more concerned about wrestling?Just saw a post from Willie Joey Bachmann is now registered at 190 for super 32
Joe is very talented but I dont think many people thought he would jump this much in weight I mean when he committed I think he had just won a state title at like 127. I think it will deffenitly help a future line up with his growth we got a lot dudes that look to be in the 41/49 maybe even 57 rangeI haven’t been as high on Joe as many but if he put on good weight I think his style translates much better at the upper weights. No idea but im assuming the kids been wrestling since he was very little hes going in to his senior year of high school maybe he just dosent wanna cut weightHow is he this big? 6 weeks ago he was a 174 not sure wtf this boy is eating but I'm here for it. Sounds like he keeps growing and is getting big so why cut.How is he this big? Pretty good chance of that - since he may very well have to cut weight for 4-5 years after this one, taking a break from it may be good for the body and soul.No idea but im assuming the kids been wrestling since he was very little hes going in to his senior year of high school maybe he just dosent wanna cut weight![]()
His brother won at 127. He won at 152. Still a massive jump to 190. He was much lighter the previous year tooJoe is very talented but I dont think many people thought he would jump this much in weight I mean when he committed I think he had just won a state title at like 127. Maybe he got some Kasak beef...His brother won at 127. He won at 152. Still a massive jump to 190. He was much lighter the previous year too
I should of explained better the bachmanns commited in November of 2025 after their freshman/sophomore years freddy won 114 and joey 127 you are correct about this past year I think willie had said when they commited they thought freddy was gonna go 138/144 ended up wrestling at 152 in 2026. In the grand scheme of thing it probably dosent matter i was just baffled how hes gone from 127 as a sophomore to maybe wrestling 190 less then 2 years laterHis brother won at 127. He won at 152. He was honestly looked at as a 149/57 then it was he's probably a 165 in February come July it's he's probably a 174 now it's October and he's probably a 197 . I have seen some kids jump weights but I don't remember anyone who was thought of as a 157 end up a 197.I should of explained better the bachmanns commited in November of 2025 after their freshman/sophomore years freddy won 114 and joey 127 you are correct about this past year I think willie had said when they commited they thought freddy was gonna go 138/144 ended up wrestling at 152 in 2026. “If I’m a Hawk fan”the year he won the state title at 127 he actually started the year at 120 and grew out of it mid season.
a few months later i saw him at Cadet Worlds and he was huge (i'm guessing in the 50's).
i thought he'd get a little bigger but not to this extent.
honestly if i'm a Hawk fan, i like it.
Deffenitly help maybe clear up a potential log jam with all the growing hes been doing any chance Freddy could jump a few weight classes as well?the year he won the state title at 127 he actually started the year at 120 and grew out of it mid season.

The big question I have is does he/ will he have the length to be an effective 97 or is he a 74/84 that got really thick? He was honestly looked at as a 149/57 then it was he's probably a 165 in February come July it's he's probably a 174 now it's October and he's probably a 197 . Gabe maybe... ? Just kidding...He was honestly looked at as a 149/57 then it was he's probably a 165 in February come July it's he's probably a 174 now it's October and he's probably a 197 . I have seen some kids jump weights but I don't remember anyone who was thought of as a 157 end up a 197.
I’m asking the same questions. I guess time will tell, I wonder how tall he is now.The big question I have is does he/ will he have the length to be an effective 97 or is he a 74/84 that got really thick?
It did indeed. Borschel went 103, 125, 152, 171 year by year.Kinda Jay Borschel - like growth spurt……. that worked out well
