The Campus in Moon is probably a lot safer than Duquesne. If they get a former PSU stud as coach(Jason Nolf). He could recruit the crap out of the Tri State into Jersey and NY. Still a lot of talent in that region that could benefit from the likes of Nolf.

RMU is D1 in all of their other sports. I forget the year the rule was ushered in, but you have to be D1 in all sports in order to wrestle D1. The only exceptions are teams that were grandfathered in because they wrestled D1 before the rule was established (e.g. Edinboro, Clarion, Lock Haven, etc.)

Slippery Rock had to go D2 i though!
Slippery Rock was grandfathered in until they dropped the program in the 2000’s. They can’t go back to D1 now without transitioning to D1 across the board. Frankly, they’re better off at D2 anyhow. They don’t have to contend with NIL nearly as much and they can (should) be far more competitive
