Its something degenerates are into. Some people call it gas station heroin. So, forgive my ignorance, but what is kratom? I mean if it is something that kids want this bad, then it is probably something the Devil needs to know about. I would also assume that if these kids want it this bad, then it gets you high in some way?
Allahu AkbarThey got 6 within the last week Philadelphia. Says after a year long investigation.

I get the feeling there’s a trend here but just can’t quite put my finger on it.They got 6 within the last week Philadelphia. Says after a year long investigation.

Think I'll stick to getting Mello Yello and chicken strips from the convenience stores.I've gotten to where I do a lecture on the "gas station drugs" in pretty much all my classes now because this crap is so dangerous.
As 615Dawg pointed out this stuff is unregulated and often imported from who-knows-where with no traceable link back to a supplier, and no indication of what's actually in it.
A number of these things have opiates in them that at high doses or mixed with other depressants like alcohol can stop a heart, and that happens, and any synthetic opioid is going to quickly encourage addiction and tolerance, which increases chance of overdose.
Some of them are fake marijuana and kids think it is safe. Its commonly some random biomass sprayed with psychoactive chemicals, usually a synthetic form of THC like delta-8. Synthetic anandamides can induce psychosis, blow out your liver, damage kidneys, induce tachycardia, etc. they don't metabolize quickly like marijuana so much longer lasting effects, and because of their receptor binding properties can be as much as 100 times more potent than THC, producing unpredictable, sometimes extremely toxic effects. add to that that the biomass they're using is also often contaminated with herbicides or pesticides, mold, or is itself a toxic plant. Some of these drugs spike blood pressure or drop it dangerously low, damage heart or kidneys etc. Awful stuff an I'd love to see every store owner go to jail for a while that sells this ****.
Gizzards tooThink I'll stick to getting Mello Yello and chicken strips from the convenience stores.
May even find 7-HOHOHO if the stores have Christmas gear out earlyThey’ll find loads of kretom right next to the phentynols
I’m an addiction expert, and I operate nationally. Kratom is used frequently. Has both opioid and stimulant properties depending on dose/concentration. Typically stimulant-ish stuff at lower and opioid stuff at higher. People who I work with more often than not are seeing opioid effects, but do see some of both. Probably 3-5% of our total substance use patient population. We’ve seen a lot of 7-OH over the last 1-2 years as well. So, forgive my ignorance, but what is kretom? After I retired I got a part time job with a commercial beverage company. I’ve been in more convenience stores, fast food places and grocery store delis than I have a right to. If you want to eat something cooked in a clean kitchen, go to the grocery store deli. Fast food joints are hit and miss. The only guarantee is if the fast food place has an older Caucasian male manager, then you’re safe. Never eat or drink anything from a convenience store unless it’s prepackaged. Trust me on this one.Think I'll stick to getting Mello Yello and chicken strips from the convenience stores.
Convenience, duh.Why the 17 would anyone want to buy drugs from a convenience store?
But it's legal? If so, how is SPD raiding stores?I’m an addiction expert, and I operate nationally. Kratom is used frequently. I see Kratom advertised in my city of residence in NC, so is the legality governed state to state?
Thanks in advance and get off my lawn.
Convenient concealment. It’s an easy way to be discreet but eventually when things start happening, the store is going to get zeroed in on. It’s not hard to figure out which gas stations are **** and which ones are squeaky clean legit if you’re paying attention. Why the 17 would anyone want to buy drugs from a convenience store?
It’s state-based and can even be more local than that. No idea if there’s a local law around Starkville. They may go after places for other related reasons, like underage sales. Not sure what the raiding basis is if they are in fact raiding, but could be different thingsBut it's legal? If so, how is SPD raiding stores?

Media (news and social) is obscuring an important distinction -- surprise! -- by calling the substance causing these raids (and likely the situation in Oxford) 'Kratom' in a blanket fashion. But it's legal? If so, how is SPD raiding stores?

What is actually banned in many states (including MS) is 7-OH(7-hydroxymitragynine) which is an extremely potent synthetic opioid product derived from Kratom that takes that active ingredient from natural kratom (where it is at less than 1% level) and makes it 100% of the product. It is apparently super potent and the synthesis process likely leaves a lot of room for error (poisoning).

Kratom vs 7-OH: Understanding the Difference
Kratom is the whole plant containing multiple alkaloids, while 7-OH is a single, highly potent compound within it that produces much stronger opioid like effects.archstonerecovery.com
Well did SPD raid the convenience stores yesterday or not? I'm just curious because that's terrible for their OPSEC if y'all are posting it here before they execute.
That's good to know Dawgbite. Because I don't care what anyone thinks, I'm not eating a thing out of a C store if I see certain people own and run the place. I've given up all that brown food for the most part anyway.
