I can't understand why they never played #99 in the playoffs. He was easily their best player.Much sooner than many expected…again
+1Boone feels like a rec director on a cruise ship.
Cashman is stuck in amber
I don't even watch them because I know its a tease.
Every year its 9 months of soap opera and Judge medical updates
I wouldn't be surprised if next season is completely wiped out.At least Pete plays everyday and our guy Stearns the moron let him go. Judge wouldn't last a week if he played football or hockey. Waiting on kbee's take, we'll talk come spring training if there is one.![]()

Cashman is the one getting all these soft players and hired a soft manager. Boone is the symptom, not the cause. This team is SOFT and has been under Boone from Day 1. Dude hits a 2-run HR to take the lead, stands at the plate like he just won the WS, and we don't even come close to throwing inside on him the next at-bat? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!! AT YANKEE STADIUM, no less?
F*ck Boone. Gotta go (obviously above is not the only reason....)!!!
I know!A coach who had one huge fall moment decades ago, can’t get it done now and needs to go already. Seems eerily familiar, can’t put my finger on it.
Sadly, I think your right.I wouldn't be surprised if next season is completely wiped out.
The exit velo/launch angle philosophy will never win a World Series more than every once in awhile. We've been proving it for the last 20 or so years. He'll never change.I'm going to be surprised if there are many meaningful changes made in Cashman's offensive philosophy next season.
I bet he actually thinks his approach can be successful.
Results in the post season say something else.
I guess the only saving grace is the Mets sucked worse?Sorry guys, I stopped posting on the regular Yankees thread due to lack of interest. I was hoping the starting pitching would carry us, but our lack of clutch hitting was an even bigger problem against a better team.
I think next season will be wiped out or most of it anyway. The best thing that can come of it is that those contracts will come off the board for another year with less angst and depression on our part.
This team desperately needs a philosophical and leadership change. With their resources, they should have much better results. Time to move on from our current leadership, but it sounds likes they're both staying. Total waste of Judge's career.
I love when they use the Mets as a yard stick. I guess you got to use something when the franchise has won only one WS in 25 years and claim to be The Varsity.I guess the only saving grace is the Mets sucked worse?
I guess the only saving grace is the Mets sucked worse?
"Sucked worse ?"I guess the only saving grace is the Mets sucked worse?
If that softens the pain for you, congrats."Sucked worse ?"
Sporting News claimed a few weeks ago that the Mets, based on their payroll and how many games they won in 2026, were dollar-for-dollar the worst team in MLB....EVER.
Congratulations.
If that softens the pain for you, congrats. The Varsity.
Now that's rich considering how I'm only returning the trolling both you guys have trolled plenty in the Mets thread. You both ventured into the Mets thread since the Yankees thread was pathetic with inactivity, and you know that's a fact.Talk about pain. You've resorted to trolling Yankee threads after losses to try and make yourself feel better about the pathetic state of the team you follow.
Consider that It's the trait if a true loser who seeks and revels in the misery or others to make themselves feel better.
The issue is the Yankee blueprint is flawed for the post season. And I'd hold off on the "tear it down" stuff.
Only four teams had a better record than the Yankees during the 2026 regular season. And they played most of the year without their best player.
They have some obvious positions that need addressing, but there's every reason to expect them to be a contender again in 2027.

As a long-time Rutgers fan I've gotten somewhat used to the pain.If that softens the pain for you, congrats. The Varsity.
Honestly, I don't care about the Mets. They aren't my team. I guess the back and forth Mets/Yankees banter is amusing at times? When I post there, it's only to talk baseball.I guess the only saving grace is the Mets sucked worse?
Speaking of the commies. That might have been the most retarded play in the history of the NFL. Wow.Honestly, I don't care about the Mets. They aren't my team. I guess the back and forth Mets/Yankees banter is amusing at times? When I post there, it's only to talk baseball.
I'm used to my teams sucking (Rutgers, Commies, Devils, Yankees) so I just STFU and mind my own business.
Yep. It's come out that in the huddle, everyone knew there were no time outs so this one is squarely on the back of number 5 from LSU.Speaking of the commies. That might have been the most retarded play in the history of the NFL. Wow.
