Cashman is lucky Hal cares more about revenue than championships!

Cashman just stinks. That became pretty obvious when he fired Girardi for not kissing his Latino catcher's ***, and not using metrics as much as he would like. Girardi knew more baseball in his little finger than Cashman will ever know. You win baseball games with baseball players and not launch angle - few strike outs, put the ball in play, go the other way, high OBP, solid defense to go along with pitching. Plus, Cashman's an arrogant f%&k.

Yankees have a closed practice today, no media plus Judge is working out. Expect someone to pull a muscle  and Judge being added to the roster before tomorrow's game. You heard it here first.

Season probably over. I doubt the Cashman Yankees have the heart to fight back after Fried S the bed.

Boone MUST be fired….. You have Trent Grisham as your leadoff hitter….. IN A DECIDING GAME??!!!

Twice he led off the innings which resulted in three straight outs, looked at three strikes in one at bat, and swung at a ball to end the game.

GOODBYE BOONE!!!

As expected, first decent team and the Cashman Yanks fold like a cheap suit. Predicted this in spring training. Another wasted season.

And what about our wussy "captain". Can't play because of his calf. LOL. Didn't Mickey Mantle hit a game winning HR with one f'ing arm?

BOONE DOESN'T MATTER! It's Cashman and his moronic analytics. It doesn't matter if this puppet gets replaced with another puppet.

We need the ghost of George to scare his little sissy boy straight. Man up! You are a Steinbrenner.
Cashman has put together quite an offensive jugarnaut.

Has a GM ever survived firing three managers?

Playoffs such a small sample size that often less heralded guys step up as they won’t consistently do it over the season but can in one series

difference between a .250 and .300 hitter is like 30 hits a year or 1 every 5 games. That’s it.

Playoffs are all about good pitching and defense plus clutch hitting. That’s it

The Rays pitchers were a little better and their hitters were a little better.
Tough end to the season.

McMahon, Chisholm, Caballero, Grisham, Rosario, and Goldschmidt would be my guesses on who won't be back.
Outside of Goldschmidt...good riddance.

Fried didn’t pitch to his talent level.
Cole is past his prime
Rays have better pitching and that is 80% of success, at least.

Excellent analysis.
You absolutely cannot allow guys like Chisholm and Grisham to half azz on defense...game after game.
That's 100% on the manager. 100%.
What kind of message does that send to the young guys?
And batting Grisham leadoff last nite is the final straw for me. With the resources this team has, look at the results over Boone's tenure.

The playoffs are about toughness, guts, coming up clutch, thriving when the spotlight is brightest. Regular season statistics are meaningless. This is one of the big reasons why Cashman analytics fail again and again in October.

This is a regular season team that folds in the big moments.

Another reason why winning 95+ games over 162 doesn’t make you a good playoff team. Baseball is the most unfair sport in that regard.

i would prefer reducing season to 130 games but greatly expanding playoffs.

Everyone gets in but all series are at least 5 games and it’s double elimination until final 8.

lose 2 series and you are out.

higher seed gets all home games as a reward for doing better over 130 games .

it can be tweaked to make sure total number of games isn’t less than now but more meaningful games
